The March of Dimes released their 2021 Report Card, offering a comprehensive overview of the maternal and infant health crisis.
The report grades the U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and 100 cities on preterm birth rates, and includes other information such as infant death, social vulnerability, low-risk cesarean births.
It also reports on state efforts related to Medicaid expansion and extension, doula and midwives legislation/policies, among other factors β and outlines important policy solutions that can make a difference.

The U.S. premature birth rate declined for the seventh year in a row, but the country on the whole still gets a C rating.
