Juicing for Health and Detoxification
Every day the human body is exposed to multiple toxins, environmental and endogenous- made in the body due to bacterial or viral infections. Common toxins include heavy metals (cadmium, lead, mercury), pesticides, herbicides.
When not eliminated by the body natural detoxification system, toxins can accumulate in the tissues rich in fat, such as brain, fat tissue, liver and damage them. Supporting detoxification through the diet is very important. If you eat food with high content of fiber and use juices, you are doing good job for your body helping in the process of detoxification. Toxins can go through cell membrane and interfere with normal DNA function, protein metabolism and cause multiple problems. Scientific evidence confirms that certain food can effect toxin metabolism and detoxification process. These foods are: berries, cruciferous family including cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, kale, also garlic, onion, turmeric, radishes, hawthorn, citrus fruits, chicory, pomegranate, beets, rosemary, ginger, apples. The more alkaline the body, the more efficient detoxification will go. So diet high in fruits, vegetables with high content of fiber and alkaline nutrients will be very beneficient for the body.
