Today’s session we will focus on the practice of kindness to oneself, and taking a restorative approach in our session. We will explore supported stretching and movement, so get your props if you have them:
yoga blocks, or books
yoga blanket, or bath towel or any blanket
2 pillows or extra towels or blankets
chair or wall for support in standing shapes
If you don’t have any props or only a few of these, simply use what you have, or you don’t need any to still participate!
The practice that I’ll offer today will be grounding in the body, a valuable skill for moving through stressful times. The practices are rooted in research based techniques to allow the nervous system to rest and reset. I know this week has affected my well being, as well as many others, to feel more wound up and strung tight to say the least. I will give guidance this session to hopefully encourage an unwinding and settling in the body that may grant for a deeper sense of well being, something we could all use more of.
