2026 CRMC Nursing Education Scholarship Winners Announced
Choctaw Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 CRMC Nursing Education Scholarship. This scholarship is available to CRMC employees, and we are honored to recognize two individuals whose dedication to patient care, professional growth, and lifelong learning is truly inspiring.
Keeghan Ashford, of Ackerman, is a 2022 graduate of Choctaw County High School and currently serves as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Choctaw Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Following in his mother’s footsteps, Keeghan plans to attend Holmes Community College to pursue his Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree. Driven by a strong passion for healthcare, his long-term goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner. Keeghan is the proud son of Emmaleee Love and Levon Ashford.
Alexandria Hunt, daughter of Linda Gladney, brings 18 years of healthcare experience to her profession. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, she moved to Louisville, Mississippi, in 2002. Alexandria’s nursing journey was shaped by her personal experience as a mother caring for a son with epilepsy and other disabilities, which fueled her desire to learn and grow in the medical field. She began her career as a CNA in 2007, earned her Registered Medical Assistant certification in 2017, and completed the EMCC Practical Nursing Program in 2020, becoming an LPN. She currently serves as an Administrative LPN and Certified Skin, Wound, and Ostomy Care Coordinator at CNRC.
Receiving this scholarship marks an important milestone for both Keeghan and Alexandria, reflecting their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to advancing their education and the nursing profession. We are proud of their accomplishments and excited to see the positive impact they will continue to make in healthcare throughout Choctaw County.
