We’re so grateful for volunteers like Kara, who helped make our recent field trip so special! 🐴💛

Kara demonstrated how to gently groom our mini horse, Polly Pocket, and the kids followed her lead with such care and confidence. It was a beautiful moment of connection, learning, and kindness in action.

Thank you, Kara, for sharing your time and heart with our participants. We are so blessed to have you on our volunteer team!

“Access changes everything. With the help of a chair lift generously donated by one of our Stoneybrook families, we’re able to safely support riders with spinal cord injuries and other physical challenges- making the healing power of the horse accessible to all.

One rider who reminds us why our work matters so deeply is Jake, a young student with an autism diagnosis.
When Jake first arrived, he had no horse knowledge and felt uncertain about trying something new. Today, he meets his instructor, Miss Karlie, with a big smile and a growing sense of confidence. Jake can now independently groom his horse, assist with
tacking, and ride around the arena by communicating clearly with his horse — starting, stopping, and steering on his own. In under a year, Jake surpassed every goal his family and instructors set for him. But even more meaningful are the changes his family sees at home: greater confidence, improved self-esteem, and a budding sense of empathy they had never seen before. Through riding, Jake is also building social skills — interacting more comfortably with volunteers, peers, and staff as
he learns, grows, and celebrates each success.

We are all incredibly proud of Jake and are blessed every time that he comes for his riding time.
