Leading by Example 💪❤️Shoutout to Giac and Tina who have been absolutely crushing it here at Sisu showing up consistently, making huge strides in their health, and setting an incredible example for their kids. Even on Memorial Day, fresh off a weekend away, they made it a priority to stop in and train before heading home. That’s what commitment looks like not perfection, but consistency. Their kids tagged along, and we gave them a few fun things to do while mom and dad trained. Because movement should be fun especially for little ones and there’s no better way to teach that than by living it.It’s so important to teach our children a healthy way of thinking and show them what it means to live a strong, balanced, and energized life. The influence of that kind of example lasts a lifetime.

Nearly a year now of pairing yoga before my meditation practice each morning with Manchi. Most days, he climbs right onto my mat, and I’ve learned to flow around him or sometimes right over him. He’s become part of the practice, part of the presence.

Yesterday, I tried paddle board yoga for the first time. Manchi watched from the dock curious, calm. But today, as I paddled away, he ran straight into the water and hopped right on board. I figured he’d sink us if I tried to practice with him, but instead of kicking him off, I let the moment guide us.

We paddled out together, surrounded by water, birds, and quiet. And then, like at home, I began a few sun salutations. As always, Manchi claimed the center of my “mat,” this time floating in the middle of the lake.

It turned into one of the most peaceful, grounding practices we’ve shared. Yoga and meditation have helped me connect more deeply with my breath, with stillness, and with him. The discipline has created space for more patience, awareness, and play.

To anyone who’s ever thought about starting a practice it doesn’t have to be perfect, or even quiet. It just has to be yours. Begin with 5 minutes. Breathe. Feel. Let yourself be where you are. You never know how far it might take you or who might come along for the ride.

Congrats to Our United Way 5K Runners!

A huge congratulations to everyone who participated in the United Way 5K for Mental Health! Your dedication and support for such an important cause are truly inspiring, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Sisu community.

We want to give a special shoutout to Jenn for completing her first-ever 5K! From working up to running her very first mile to now crushing 3.1 miles consecutively well under a 12 minute pace! Your journey has been incredible. Your hard work and perseverance are something to celebrate!

A massive cheers to Jen, Dave, Eric, Steff, Justin, Ashley, Beth, Jim, and Manchi for showing up, pushing through, and supporting mental health awareness. Sisu Fitness Shoutout!

Huge congratulations to James and Sara for earning their Sisu shirts today!

James is a walking dose of positivity—always uplifting others and spreading Sisu wherever he goes. He recently led his team to victory in a basketball game for special needs children, is learning to ice skate, and just hit Bronze status on Myzone! He’s been crushing his Wolverine habit every week—strength training, cardio, and stretching with consistency and heart.

Sara is absolutely on fire—belt squatting an incredible 240 lbs, dialing in her protein intake, and inspiring others getting back into skating and hockey. She’s already reached Silver status on Myzone and is closing in on Gold. Her strength and focus are contagious!

“A diamond is just a rock that never gave up under pressure.”

In less than three months, Giac has lost 6.2 lbs of body fat, dropping from 24.7% to 21%, and has gained 3.3 lbs of muscle—raising his body composition health score by 6 points! He’s fully committed to his journey, benefiting from one-on-one personal training, nutrition coaching, text support, and our Myzone system.

When Giac injured his back at work, he made a decision—enough was enough. Now, he’s feeling stronger, more energetic, and more in control of his body than ever before. As he put it, “I actually feel my muscles engaging at work now.”
