Ever feel a searing pain shooting down your leg, from your lower back to your foot? You might be experiencing sciatica, not just general back pain! 💥
Sciatica occurs when the sciatic nerve, the longest nerve in your body, gets compressed or irritated. It can cause:

•Sharp, shooting pain down one leg
•Numbness or tingling in the leg or foot

Tech Neck Relief: 3 Simple Stretches You Can Do Now!
Are you reading this post with your head dropped forward? You might have Tech Neck! 😬

Holding your head at a forward angle puts intense pressure on your spine, leading to neck pain, headaches, and stiffness in your shoulders. It's one of the most common issues we see in our Cedarcrest office.

Here are 3 simple stretches you can do at your desk right now to find some relief:

🤸 Quick Fix Stretches
•Chin Tuck: Sit up straight. Gently pull your head back, tucking your chin toward your throat (like you're making a double chin). Hold for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times.

•Ear-to-Shoulder: Drop your left ear toward your left shoulder until you feel a gentle stretch on the right side of your neck. Use your hand for a slight, added pull if needed. Hold for 20 seconds. Repeat on the other side.

•Shoulder Rolls: Roll your shoulders up towards your ears, back, and then down. Do this 10 times forward and 10 times backward.

Meet Dr. Douglas LaRoss!

Dr. LaRoss is a graduate of Life University and Board Certified as a Doctor of Chiropractic. His first practice at the Cotton Exchange Building was named BEST OF ATLANTA by Creative Loafing in 1999.
He has provided health care to former mayor Maynard Jackson, Phylicia Rashad, principal dancers of the Atlanta Ballet and athletes from the Atlanta Falcons and Braves.

His current practice, LaRoss ChiroCare, provides a diversity of chiropractic care, including radiology, ultrasound therapy, massage, traction, and exercise training.

Dr. LaRoss is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Georgia in the Summer of 1990 to attend Life University, to study Chiropractic. He is an athletic competitor with quite the accolades! He has competed in the last five of six Savage Races in Acworth and is currently recruiting a team to do the race this September. An avid tennis player for the past twenty years, he is currently on a B2 team in ALTA, where his skills are put to the test. In addition, Dr. LaRoss is an active member of the Rotary Club since 2004, has served as Treasurer, and has been the head of the Paulding County High School Scholarship Program for the last ten years!

He and his lovely wife of 35 years, Diane, have a daughter, Elena, who will be starting her third year at Mercer University, pursuing a law degree. In his free time, Dr. LaRoss enjoys dining at his favorite spot in West Cobb, Modena.
