You don’t need multiple different telehealth subscriptions for your healthcare.

I had a new patient this week getting hormone therapy from one online company, a GLP-1 from another, and still seeing a doctor locally for everything else. Multiple subscriptions. Multiple providers. None of them really talking to each other.

We simplified everything. Her hormone management, metabolic health, and primary care are now coordinated through one office with one physician who knows her full health picture. It’s more convenient, better coordinated, and often less expensive than stacking multiple monthly subscription fees.

Online healthcare companies can be helpful, but many people don’t realize that a concierge practice can manage all of this — in one place, with personalized care and continuity.

Sometimes simpler really is better.

Most people don’t realize how many different models of “healthcare” exist today.

Some prioritize speed.
Some follow trends.
Some sell solutions.

Our focus is simpler: good medicine and real relationships.

Concierge primary care gives us the time to understand the full picture of someone’s health, not just the symptom of the day.

And it turns out… that time makes a big difference.

We glamorize motivation.
But prevention doesn’t run on motivation.

Bone density doesn’t care if you “feel like it.”

Insulin sensitivity doesn’t improve because you were inspired.

Muscle doesn’t stick around because you meant to train.

Prevention is built on repeated, unremarkable decisions:
Lift.
Eat real food.
Sleep
Spend time with loved ones
Repeat.

You don’t wait for motivation.
You build a life where the basics happen. On repeat.

There is truly no better feeling than seeing a familiar face walk through our new doors. A great patient-doctor relationship is hard to find, and we are so grateful for every one of ours. 🩺❤️

Taking time before the visit changes the visit.
That is the concierge difference.

Do you ever feel bad about telling your doctor how much caffeine you drink?

You’re not alone, and you don’t need to feel bad! Caffeine is a stimulant that activates the central nervous system, which is why it helps with alertness, focus, and energy. For most healthy adults, up to about 400 mg per day is considered safe. That usually works out to a few cups of coffee or a couple of espresso drinks, depending on size and strength.

In moderation, caffeine can improve mood, physical performance, and headaches. Over time, it’s also been associated with lower risk of colon cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s, and may offer benefits for liver and heart health.

That said, caffeine isn’t harmless for everyone. Higher doses or poor timing can contribute to anxiety, digestive symptoms, palpitations, heartburn, increases in blood pressure, and sleep disruption. And even if you can drink caffeine and fall asleep, it can still affect sleep quality.

This isn’t about cutting caffeine out. It’s about understanding your dose, timing, and how your body responds — without guilt.

Feeling unheard in healthcare is incredibly common — and it doesn’t mean you’re “bad at advocating for yourself.”

The system is fast, appointments are short, and most people don’t think clearly when they’re anxious or overwhelmed.

Small tools can help level the playing field.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you should have your hormones tested, this is for you.

Hormone testing can be helpful in the right situations, but it’s not meant to be routine screening for women who feel well, and in some cases it creates more confusion than clarity.

Good care isn’t about testing everything. It’s about ordering the right tests for the right person at the right time.

Concierge medicine isn’t about fancy tests or VIP perks—it’s about time, access, prevention, and real relationships.

It’s about practicing medicine the way it should be: thoughtful, personal, and proactive. Because when your doctor knows you, health isn’t just about reacting to problems—it’s about preventing them before they start.

Have you ever had a doctor who really had the time to get to know you? I’d love to hear your story in the comments!

As we look ahead to February, which is American Heart Month, it’s a good reminder that high blood pressure often has no symptoms — but it still matters, a lot!

High blood pressure is the number one risk factor for cardiovascular disease, which remains the leading cause of death. Many people feel completely fine and assume their blood pressure is “probably normal.” Often, it isn’t.

If you don’t know your blood pressure, don’t guess.

Know your numbers. Check it.

Most women don’t realize breast cancer risk assessment should start early — as early as your 20s.

This isn’t about fear. It’s about information.

Knowing your personal risk can guide smarter screening (like MRI for higher-risk women) or even risk-reducing medication when appropriate.

There are validated risk calculators that factor in your family history, genetics, and other health details — and they can change how your doctor approaches your care.

Ask your doctor about a breast cancer risk assessment
If you’re high-risk, start screening earlier

Knowledge = prevention

Because the best time to know your risk is before there’s a problem.
