Sondra Lee Mason, 84, lovingly known as Sandy, of Ada, was born on September 11, 1941, to Jack Minick and Marie (Collier) Minick. She entered her heavenly home after a life marked by devotion to her faith, her family, and the many people blessed to know her.
Throughout her life, Sandy worked in the photo lab at Walmart and later at Citizens Bank, serving a combined 25 years with dedication.
Sandy was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma, and especially loved singing in the church choir. She was a prolific creator of all types of miniatures, a hobby that brought her great joy. She also loved Western movies, playing cards with her friends, and riding along with her favorite Ada police officers. Above all, Sandy deeply loved her family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As an adult, Sandy made her personal commitment to Christ while watching a baseball game on television. With her children present, she bowed her head in prayer and received Jesus into her heart. She and Larry were later baptized at Oak Ave Baptist Church-an experience she treasured for the rest of her life.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Jack Minick and Marie Minick, her son Larry Mason; and her brother, Jerry Minick.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Keel and husband Jay of McKinney, Texas, and Diana Ross and husband Toby, her grandchildren, Ashley Mason, Christopher Mason, Wyatt Keel, Allison Hawks and husband Perry, Natalie Burns and husband Taylor, Madi Kate Ross, Boady Ross, and Mallory Ross.

Her favorite scriptures were John 13:34, John 14:1, and John 14:6, verses that guided her daily walk with God. Sandy often shared a quote that reflected her unwavering faith: "God's 'no' is 'yes' to a greater blessing.

Sandy looked forward to the joy of heaven, and she now rests in the presence of the Savior she loved so deeply. She will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her humor, and her steadfast love for her family.

There will be a funeral service held to honor her life on Monday, November 17th, 2025 at 2:00PM at Phillips Funeral Home in Ada, cremation services will follow the service.

Norma Jean Williams-Pennington, 72, went to be with her heavenly father on November 10, 2025 at her home in Fittstown, Oklahoma, after a fight with lung cancer.
She was born on May 12th, 1953, to Louise and Leroy Hatton in Stonewall, Oklahoma. Norma was the 2nd oldest of 8 siblings: With Judy, Bobby, Terry, David, Mary, Robbie, and Tracy, it made for some great family gatherings over the years. Playing volleyball on the 4th of July, going fishing, or just sitting around and laughing were all cherished memories.

She married Jack Pennington in 1969, and they had 4 children: Tanya, Carmel, Phillip, and Joe. Their memories growing up are filled with their mother's strong spirit, wonderful smile, and loving embrace. Through her journey here on Earth, she had many adventures with family and friends. She worked her entire life to help provide for her family and give them a home filled with love.. Her late husband, Michael, and she owned and operated a little gas station in Fittstown, where her grandkids knew they could always get a treat off the shelf from Mimi. She was able to retire in 2019 and spent the rest of her years enjoying her grandkids and great-grandkids, reading stories about dragons and magical places as well as her bible, going to play the slots with her big sister Judy, and sitting on her back porch, enjoying nature. She loved the outdoors and having her own land to grow vegetables and pick pecans on.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Tanya Anglemyer, her wife, Laura Anglemyer, and their two children, Michael and Cooper Anglemer; her daughter, Carmel Yeater, her husband, Ike Yeater, and their child, Elizabeth Guy; her son, Phillip Pennington, and his daughter Shelby Pennington and her partner Mickel Harris, and their daughter, Hadley Harris; and her son, Joe Pennington, his wife Alyson Pennington, and their children: Carter Pennington and his partner Emily Danielle, and their daughter Flora Pennington; Bradyn Riley and his wife Tosha Riley, and their children, Kash and Kora Riley, as well as Brooklyn Riley, Caleb Pennington, Caden Pennington, and Karson Pennington.

She is also survived by her siblings Judy Shulenburger, Terry Thompson, and her husband RC Thompson, David Hatton, Bobby Hatton, and wife Tanis Hatton, Robbie Hatton, and Tracy Hatton and his wife Charolette Hatton. She also has many other family members who loved and cared about her. Special thank you to her sister-in-law, Christy Hood who was her hospice nurse, and her brother-in-law Earl Hood for performing her service.

She was preceded in death by her father Leroy Hatton, her brother-in-law Glen Pennington, her sister Mary Morehead, her ex-husband Jack Pennington, her grandson Colton Pennington, her mother-in-law Homa Brown, her husband Michael Williams, her mother Louise Ens, and her grandson Kanyon Pennington. She is now in their arms, looking down on us all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Phillips Funeral Home, located at 123 E 13th St in Ada, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00AM at Phillips Funeral Home, located at 123 E 13th St in Ada, Oklahoma, with Earl Hood officiating.

Cremation service to follow the funeral, attendees will be dismissed after the funeral concludes.

RV Brady, 90, of Stonewall, Oklahoma, passed away on October 8, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 6, 1935 to his parents Noma Ella (Stewart) Brady and Henry Robert Brady at home in Stonewall, Oklahoma. He attended Stonewall High School as a young man and later built a career at the Quarry at Holcim in Ada for over forty years. He married the love of his life, Sharon D. (Oltermann) Brady, on June 15, 1954 at the Johnston County Line under the stars and with their headlights as lighting. They shared seventy-one beautiful years together, until Sharon’s recent passing on August 11, 2025. RV cherished his wife, and his family, he absolutely loved every second he was able to spend with them. He loved attending all of his grandchildren’s events, as well as watching baseball, basketball, softball, noodling and football. He was also a summer coach for the Stonewall Baseball team for thirty-one years. RV was an outdoorsman as well, he was an avid fisherman and hunter who appreciated a good buck during deer season. He was known for being a handyman as well, he was great at carpentry and took great pride in everything that he built. RV was a loving and generous man who will be dearly missed by all of those who knew him.

RV is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon D. Brady, his parents Hank and Noma Brady, two brothers LD Brady and Don “Dunk” Brady, one sister Wilma Lee Ledbetter, one grandson Rick Brady, and one great-grandson Teagan W. Brady.

RV is survived by his Son Lance Brady and his wife Brenda, Son Dustin Brady and his wife JoEdda, Daughter Susan Thompson, Daughter Sharyl Daniel and husband Tom. Grandchildren: Brooke Sutton, Brettney Scribner and husband Josh, April Sanders and husband Scott, Amber Collins and husband Brett, and Josh Brady and wife Heather. Tyler Thompson and wife Fallon, Neicole Vanhorn and husband Justin, Bracy Blevins, Tobie Jones and husband Matt, Jonathan Daniel, Bradianne Roberson and husband Trey, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Tyler Thompson, Josh Brady, Jonathan Daniel, Josh Scribner, Scott Sanders, Brett Collins, Trey Roberson, Matt Jones, Justin VanHorn, and Rance Kowey.

Celebrating the Life of V. Lorene Scott

Today, we gather to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of V. Lorene Scott, lovingly known as “Lorene” or “Lo” who was Choctaw and Chickasaw. She was gifted the spiritual name "Gentleness Woman" in traditional ceremony many years ago. Her greatest honor was becoming "Grandma." Her fondest memories are living on the Ihanktonwan Dakota Oyate reservation in Marty, South Dakota making relatives. On October 3, 2025, at the age of 81, Grandma Lorene passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who cherished her most. Born on May 17, 1944, in Coal County, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Irvin Cole and Grace Carpenter (Leflore).

Lorene devoted 25 years of her life to the nursing profession, serving with unwavering passion and grace. Her commitment to caring for others touched countless lives, and she was deeply admired for her quiet strength, generous spirit, and steadfast love for her family. Beyond her career, Lorene found joy in sewing and spending meaningful time with her loved ones. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her family at the center of her life. Lorene’s warmth, devotion to her culture and Creator, and her caring nature made her a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her.

In addition to her dedication to nursing and family, Lorene was a respected pipe carrier and Sundancer at the Greenwood Sundance grounds with the Ihanktonwan Dakota Oyate for many years. She played a vital role as a women’s spiritual leader, guiding and uplifting others in her women’s circle through wisdom and compassion. Lorene’s spiritual beliefs profoundly shaped her approach to caring for her community and family. She was known for her generosity—feeding and raising countless children, cooking for Sundance singers, and supporting community gatherings with unwavering kindness.

As a boarding school survivor, Lorene endured the loss of her language and the sacred way of life but found healing and resilience through her cultural and spiritual traditions during her time in South Dakota. In her final moments, she enjoyed singing Sundance songs in the company of her loved ones. Lorene will be remembered as a strong, vocal, and fierce woman, whose gentle love shone especially for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the entire community. Her devotion to serving others will remain an enduring inspiration to all who knew her.

Lorene is survived by her son, Jason Scott, and his wife Vanessa of Durant, Oklahoma; her daughters, Sonya Frazier and her husband George of Ada, Oklahoma, Monica Jackson of Lawrence, Kansas, and Debbie Unap of Skiatook, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her siblings: V. Regina Anderson of Ada, Oklahoma; Jo Hollingsworth of McAlester, Oklahoma; Betty Sue Allen (Odes) of Vinita, Oklahoma; Michael Carpenter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; John Carpenter and his wife Shelley of Ada, Oklahoma; Elizabeth Gibson and her husband Jerry of Ottawa; Gerald Carpenter and his wife Dora of Ada, Oklahoma; Terry Cole and his wife Pamela; and Irvin Cole Jr. Lorene leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, an extended family, and especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she cherished the most. Her legacy will be carried forward by all who loved her, including a host of extended family, friends and relatives.

Lorene was preceded in death by her daughter, Gayla Scott; siblings, Norma Garcia, Alan Carpenter and wife Sonny, Ernest L. Cole, Sherman E. Cole, Patricia A. Mayer, Donna J. Mayo, Anthony Cole, Teresa Welch, and Lynn Humphrey; her brother-in-law, Edward F. Mayer; and her grandparents, Anice and Aurora (Noah) Cole.

Pallbearers for the service will be Nicholas Jackson, Little Sky Frazier, Thomas Scott, Jacob Frazier, Max Barnoski, Angelo Nuño, Michael Boucher, and Landon Fixico.

Honorary pallbearers include Jalen Frazier, Bobbie Unap, Joseph Unap, Andrew Unap, and Benjamin Scott.

In keeping with Lorene's cultural and spiritual traditions, the family will honor her with a traditional ceremony by lighting a sacred fire to guide her spiritual journey for four days and nights. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects, as Lorene’s viewing will be at the family home, located at 12825 County Road 3530 in Ada.

A family night will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00PM at Phillips Funera Home in Ada.

All who knew and loved Lorene are welcome to come and share their memories, offering stories and support as part of the healing process.

Lorene’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center in Ada. Burial will follow at Boiling Springs Cemetery in Lula, Oklahoma, with a meal afterward at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center in Ada.

Ricky Dave Prince, 60, of Stonewall Oklahoma passed away October 1, 2025 at his home in Stonewall, Oklahoma.

He was born on March 1, 1965 in OKC, Oklahoma to David Victor and Tommie (Duncan) Prince. Ricky was a long time House Framer. He enjoyed building things and working with his hands.

On December 15, 1984 in Dallas Texas, Ricky married the love of his life Necia Prince. Together they shared four children Ricky W. Prince, wife Carly, Nicholas Prince, wife Melissa, Cody Prince, wife Kriston, Brieana Prince, all of Stonewall.

From these four they gained thirteen grandkids Tristen Reagan, Katlynn Githens, Kaleb Prince, Raylee Thompson, Kaulen Prince, Conor Prince, Kail Prince, Kyson Prince, Jakob Prince, Khyler Prince, Cutter Hammons, Raelynn Prince, Kolt Prince. He enjoyed spending his time with grandkids and fishing. Ricky loved his family dearly and cherished every moment and memory he had with them. Ricky will be remembered as a hardworking man, a loving father and grandfather, and a friend to many. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, David and Tommie Prince; his brother, Vandell Ray Prince; his beloved wife, Necia Prince; his daughter-in-law, Schyler Prince; and his granddaughter, Renli Annlyn.

Ladies and gentlemen, family, friends and loved ones, we gather today with heavy hearts to celebrate the life of my beloved daughter, Megan Rae Jones.
Megan was a vibrant soul who left an indelible mark on all of us.
She was born on December 12, 1986 and the world grew a bit dimmer when she passed on September 27, 2025 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 38. Megan was a remarkable young woman who's life was defined by her compassion and selflessness.
One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming a nurse-a true calling that allowed her to blend her profound empathy with her skills, touching the lives of countless individuals. She actively pursued her calling and was continuing her education.
Her patients were more than just names on a chart: they were people she cared for deeply.
The outpouring of love and support from the community during her illness is a testament to the difference she made in their lives.
She brought comfort and support during some of the most vulnerable times, and for that, she will always be cherished.
Her warmth and kindness extended far beyond her professional life.
Megan had an incredible ability to make everyone around her feel loved and accepted.
One of Megan's greatest achievements was being a mother to Isaiah, Breanna, Antwon and Bryson and a Loving Life spouse to Dana.
She built a solid foundation for her children. Megan believed in them, supported them, and made sure they always knew how much they were loved, no matter what.
The lessons she taught, the values she held, and the memories they created together will forever be a part of who they are.
Megan loved DYI projects and scrapbooking during her free time. From Holiday ornaments of handmade items that will be treasured for years to come to arts and crafts to sell at craft shows. Megan had so much fun doing these projects with her children.

Megan was preceded in death on her maternal side by her Grandmother Sandra Clifford.

She is survived by her spouse Dana Hayden, Mother Sami Clifford & Father Chester Clark, children Isaiah Hayden, Antwon Hayden, Breanna Jones, Bryson Hayden, Sister Morgan Epperly & Husband Jeff Epperly, brother Donavan Clark and wife Mandra, and many Aunts , Uncle, Cousins, nieces and nephews.

Our sunshine, Megan Rae Jones is survived by her father Raymond W. Jones of Tahlequah, Oklahoma an aunt Vickie Jones-Holkum of Bentonville, AR, Uncle Jimmy W. Jones of Oakland, TN, as well as many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Wilma R. Jones, her grandfather Hildred R. Jones, and her aunt Marcia Russell. Megan is loved and will be missed ever so much.

Virginia Mae Hopper of Ada, passed away on September 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 18, 1946, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to her parents Walter Applegate and Evilor Caudell Applegate (Brown). Virginia grew up in the Holdenville are and attended school there until the 8th grade. Virginia was primarily a waitress for most of her working life, she enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the restaurant and meeting new people daily. Virginia married the love of her life, Elmer Hopper, on February 6, 1963, in Seminole Oklahoma. The two spent many years together until Elmer's passing in 2013. They were married for fifty wonderful years and created a beautiful family along the way. Virginia enjoyed crochetting, doing crossword puzzles, fishing, going for walks and cherishing each day. She also loved the Lord and spent a lot of time reading her Bible and sharing this love with her family as well. Virginia will be missed by all of those who met her.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Hopper, her son Michael Hopper, her mom Evilor Caudell, her dad Walter Applegate and many others.

Virginia is survived by her two daughters Debbie Rodgers and husband John Rodgers of Fittstown, Oklahoma, Annitta Coffee and husband Harold Coffee, of Ada, Oklahoma, four granddaughters, Brittany Crow, Rochelle Spray, Autumn Mensch, Angel Dodson and four grandsons Michael Ensey, J.D. Ensey, Stephen Rodgers and Coty Hopper. Ten great grandchildren, Christina Spray, Bentley Bullett, Mia Crow, Selah Mensch, Tuff Hopper, Lyrics Hopper, Madalene Foreman, Tyler Mitchell, Caden Ashby, Korbin Ashby, one sister Estelle Carlise and several nieces, nephews, and great- great grandchildren.

Jeremiah “Jeremy” Allen Moore, 49, of Ada, passed from this life on September 25, 2025 in Ada. He was born on September 10, 1976 in Sherman, Texas to his parents Rhonda Jean (Gormley) Moreland and Randy Allen Moore. He graduated from Durant High School in 1995, attended a few years of college at University of Oklahoma, and then found his lifelong career at Legal Shield for over twenty-six years as Regional Vice President as well as Platinum Executive Director. He was also a 6 Figure Ring Earner, Millionaire Club Member and all around dedicated and well respected leader during his time at Legal Shield. He married the love of his life, Stephanie (Philpot) Moore on December 17, 1999 and together they shared twenty five years as well as raised two respectable young men, Braden and Creed. Jeremy was a devoted father to his boys, and loved being supportive in anything they participated in. He contributed so much to the Ada Football and Wrestling Programs, and enjoyed being able to help build up his community. Jeremy also loved the outdoors; he enjoyed weekly golfing trips, riding ATV’s, fishing and who could forget his love for anything OU. He cherished his OU Sooners, and seeing them play (and win) was a huge highlight in his life. Jeremy loved his family, his community, his Sooners, and most of all his faith in God. Jeremy will be sorely missed by all of those who were blessed to have met him.

Jeremy is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Kennith Moore, his paternal grandmother Shirlene Moore, his maternal grandmother Barbara Gormley, his maternal grandfather Robert Gormley, and his mother’s husband Jerry Moreland.

Jeremy is survived by his wife Stephanie Moore, his sons Braden Moore and Creed Moore, his father Randy Moore, his mother Rhonda Moreland, his siblings Joseph Moore, Chris Stanfield, and Brandi Ward, his aunt Shara Moore, his brother in law Brandon Reeder and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
