Appalachian Clinical Research would like to share information with you regarding a Diabetes Clinical Trial being conducted in your area. The purpose of the study is to determine whether Ozempic®, a medication that is currently marketed for the treatment of Type II Diabetes, is more effective when given at a dose of 2mg once weekly compared to 1mg once weekly.

This is a 40 week study in which patients with a diagnosis of Type II Diabetes who are on Metformin 1500mg or greater with or without Amaryl(glimepiride), Glucatrol (glipizide) or DiaBeta (glyburide) and have a HbA1c between 8-10% may participate.

All study participants will receive at no cost study related medical visits by a qualified medical professional, laboratory testing, EKG’s, 2 eye exams, glucose meters and testing supplies, study medication and will be paid $50 for each study visit for time and travel
(a total of 9 study visits throughout the study).

Some of the benefits of participating in this trial include:
1. Taking a more active role in the treatment of your Diabetes
2. Better control of your HbA1c
