Connect A-F Jobs!

Connect A-F Jobs is an initiative through Adams County Economic Development designed to connect young people seeking employment with local businesses looking for help.

This program was created and administered by Kallysa Farrell, a 2021 Adams-Friendship High School graduate, in partnership with Daric Smith. Together, they’ve brought meaningful job exploration opportunities to Adams-Friendship High School and the greater community.

Opportunities may include:
• Job shadowing
• Apprenticeships
• Internships
• Part-time employment
• And more!

The goal is simple: give students real-world exposure to the wide variety of jobs and career paths available right here in Adams County.

Did you know the Adams County Historical Society in Friendship is preserving the stories that shaped our community? From fascinating exhibits and historical artifacts to local genealogy resources and tours of the McGowan House Museum, this dedicated nonprofit keeps our county’s heritage alive. 🧡

Business Development Loan Funds Available in Adams County

Adams County, in partnership with Central Wisconsin Economic Development (CWED), is proud to offer business development loan funding for both start-ups and existing businesses. These funds are designed to support business growth, encourage private investment, and help create jobs within our community.

CWED Start-Up Fund
Ideal for businesses in their first three years of operation.

• Loan amounts: $5,000–$35,000
• Interest rates: 0–3% (negotiable)
• Loan term: Up to 3 years, with a flexible interest-only period
• Requirements: Business plan with three-year projections and a local EDO recommendation

How to Apply:
– Submit an application to the Program Administrator
– Loan requests are reviewed and approved by the CWED Board
– Applicants must attend the board meeting for final consideration

🤝 Who Are Ambassadors?
Chamber Ambassadors are active members (or employees/representatives of member businesses) in good standing who serve as an extension of the Chamber team. Ambassadors represent both the Chamber and their business, acting as a goodwill arm that supports members, welcomes new investors, and strengthens connections across our community.

✔️ Ambassador Expectations:
• Must be a Chamber member or represent a member business
• Must have employer support and flexibility to participate
• Uphold the Ambassador Committee’s code of conduct
• Serve as a positive, professional representative of the Chamber

💼 The Ambassador Committee is the backbone of the Chamber, working alongside staff to add value for investors, support recruitment efforts, and build strong business relationships.
