I’m thrilled to be presenting at This Girl is on Fire: Menopause Online S*xceptional Weekend, hosted by SHA (*xualhealthalliance) on January 25-26th, 2025!

Join us for this virtual weekend packed with groundbreaking research and practical strategies to support clients and patients navigating peri-menopause and menopause. As part of this event, I’ll be sharing results from the Womanizer Menopause study, which we conducted at the earlier this year. We collected a nationally representative sample of 1,500 US women ages 40-65 to address a number of understudied s*xual health topics in women who are approaching menopause and those who are in various stages of it. 🌟

I love seeing things grow, and my business is no different. What started as a side gig has slowly blossomed into a beautiful practice. Now, I get to serve amazing clients all over Texas and Colorado.

We’ve expanded our services from relationship and s*x therapy to immigration hardship psychological evaluations, Prepare/Enrich premarital/marital assessments, consultations for other clinicians, and supervision for early Colorado counseling professionals.

I’m incredibly thankful for my small team of supervisors, accountants, and my assistant, whose support and professionalism have made this journey possible. I never feel alone!

To our clients, thank you for letting me be part of your healing journey. Your trust and openness are the heart of our practice. We’re humbled by your strength in facing challenges and the progress you make each day.

To my husband, who shows up so I can show up: THANK YOU. And a shoutout to myself for sticking to my anti-burnout routines. When I’m off the clock, I make sure to pour back into my life. Some of my favorite activities are cuddling, lo******ng, slow mornings, quality time with family and friends, comedy shows, concerts, planning trips, taking naps, Pilates, barre, saunas and massages.

This study from the Kinsey Institute Condom Use Research Team (KI-CURT) looked at condom-associated er****on problems during application and penile-vaginal in*******se.

Participants reported:

75% er****on loss during condom application.
78% er****on loss during in*******se with a condom.
52% experienced both.

Condom desirability can be improved by:

✅ Spreading awareness on the range of condoms available;
✅ Encouraging communication about condom use BEFORE s*x;
✅ Encouraging people to practice using a variety of condoms.

Exploring and experimenting with a small amount of l**e can also increase pleasure and decrease dryness and irritation when using a condom.

Factors that participants felt contributed to their er****on loss:
- distraction/interruption,
- issues with fit and feel,
- application taking too long,
- not being ‘turned on’ enough,
- and partner-related factors.
