🎥 Sensory-Friendly Movie Night! 🎥

Join Winterset Inclusion Project for a relaxed, sensory-friendly movie showing of new release, Charlie The Wonderdog at The Iowa Theater—designed with neurodiverse and different-abled individuals and families in mind but ALL ARE WELCOME! Enjoy lower movie volume, soft lighting, and a come-as-you-are atmosphere where movement is welcome.

A message from Ms. Elysha:

Hello, I’m Elysha. I’m from Osceola and I studied psychology at the University of Iowa. In my free time, you can usually find me curled up with a good book and our three cats or helping my husband renovate our old farmhouse. We also love to head west and explore the mountains in the national parks when we can find time.

Before joining Innovative Behavioral Therapy, I worked as a Care Coordinator supporting families in Polk and Warren Counties and as a Case Manager working directly with adolescents in Des Moines.

Since joining the IBT team, my favorite part about being a behavioral technician has been working with the kiddos and discovering the unique ways each client learns. I find it incredibly fulfilling to be part of their growth and progress.

Please help me in welcoming Ms. Mak to our team! Ms. Mak joined us in late November and comes with a breadth of knowledge and experience! We are so excited to have her as one of our new Lead RBTs!

A message from Ms. Mak:

Hi! I’m Mak. I’m originally from Indianapolis, IN, but moved to Iowa to study at the University of Northern Iowa. In my free time, I love spending time with friends, reading, getting outside with my dog, Coco, and staying involved in my local young adult ministry. Before joining Innovative Behavioral Therapy, I worked as an Instructional Aide and later as an RBT in both school and clinic settings.

One of my absolute favorite parts of being an RBT is witnessing those “light bulb” moments — the instant a learner suddenly grasps something new. Seeing learners reach their “got it!” moments are what inspires and motivates me every day.
