Tricia brings 10 years of experience in the medical field, beginning her career as a CNA, advancing to Phlebotomy and then becoming a Medical Assistant. She has worked in both family practice clinics and hospital settings, giving her a strong and well -rounded clinical foundation. For the past 3 years, she has specialized in Hormone Therapy, Weight loss and Peptides- Which makes her an incredible addition to our functional health and wellness team!

These Are Prescription Medications — Not Wellness Products

GLP-1 medications are prescription-only for a reason.

A qualified medical professional should:
✔️ Evaluate your medical history
✔️ Screen for contraindications
✔️ Prescribe legally sourced medication
✔️ Monitor labs, symptoms, and side effects
✔️ Adjust dosing safely over time

Anyone selling GLP-1s without a prescription—or telling you they’ve “found a workaround”—is bypassing safeguards designed to protect patients.

Weight loss is not worth:
• Infection
• Pancreatitis
• Severe GI injury
• Hormonal disruption
• Legal and financial fallout

Please choose safety over shortcuts. Choose experience over convenience. And choose providers who follow medical, ethical, and legal standards—because your health actually matters.

Research-Grade Products May Not Be Pure Medication

This is the part people really don’t like to talk about.

Research-grade products are not required to meet pharmaceutical purity standards. Independent testing has shown that some contain:
⚠️ Incorrect concentrations
⚠️ Degraded peptide fragments
⚠️ Heavy metals
⚠️ Unknown contaminants

You have no way of knowing what’s actually in that vial—because no one is required to verify it for patient use.

GLP-1s are powerful medications that affect:
• Blood sugar
• Gastric emptying
• Hormones
• Cardiovascular risk
• Lean mass

Introducing unknown contaminants into that system is not “biohacking.” It’s gambling with your health.

Compounded GLP-1s ≠ “Mixed at Home”

There is a massive difference between legitimate compounding and someone “mixing peptides.”

Properly compounded GLP-1 medications:
✔️ Are prepared in licensed, sterile compounding pharmacies
✔️ Follow USP standards (including clean rooms and aseptic technique)
✔️ Are tested for sterility, stability, and concentration accuracy
✔️ Have documented beyond-use dates
✔️ Are dispensed with medical oversight and traceability

What this is not:
🚫 A powder vial shipped to your house
🚫 Instructions found on Reddit
🚫 “Just add bacteriostatic water”

Home reconstitution introduces contamination risk, dosing errors, and instability. Too little = ineffective. Too much = severe side effects. Contaminated = infection risk.

Medication preparation is not a DIY project.

“Research-Grade” GLP-1s Are NOT for Humans — Period

Let’s clear something up, because patients are getting hurt.

If a GLP-1 product is labeled “research grade,” “for laboratory use,” or “not for human consumption,” it is not approved for patient use. Full stop.

These products are sold under loopholes intended for bench research, not medical treatment. That labeling exists for a reason:
➡️ No FDA oversight for human safety
➡️ No required sterility testing
➡️ No validated dosing accuracy
➡️ No accountability if something goes wrong

In many states, including Iowa, licensed medical professionals are expected to prescribe and dispense medications that meet medical and legal standards. Across the U.S., providers have already faced fines, disciplinary action, and license loss for using research-grade peptides on patients.

If someone is injecting you with—or selling you—“research grade” GLP-1s, that should immediately raise concern.

This is your body. You deserve better than experimental shortcuts.
