Member Spotlight 🌟 Leslie Herron, RPh

🥼 Leslie is a fourth-generation pharmacist. She earned her BS Pharm from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy.

💊 Leslie is the owner of Sumpter Pharmacy in Adel, which is already offering advanced test-and-treat services for patients under pharmacy’s standard of care—from strep throat and the flu to pink eye and other respiratory infections. Leslie shared she’s not afraid to push the limits; she’s ready to go for it. 💪

📢 Leslie has been an active member of IPA since she moved to Iowa. She is a passionate advocate for the profession, and her favorite IPA memory was cheering from the gallery of the capitol after the Senate passed the PBM bill (SF 383)!

💙 When asked why she joined IPA, Leslie said, “That’s just what you do. The state association is your biggest advocate, your biggest support, your biggest resource, so why wouldn’t you join and be a part of that?”

We have a position open for a Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician, up to 40 hours per week. Prior medical or pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.

Considering a pharmacy career path? We will train. Aside from the customary pharmacy technician duties, our techs are very involved in our clinical patient care services. This presents a unique opportunity for growth and expansion of your skill set.

Competitive pay rate is based on experience. No nights, Sundays, or holidays, and some flexibility in scheduling. A 401k plan, employee discount, and other benefits available.
