We had the absolute best time at this year's Death by Chocolate event! 🍫✨

A huge thank you to our wonderful friends at Brookdale Adrian for hosting such a sweet tradition. We look forward to this event every single year, and this time was no exception.

Our very own Peggy truly outdid herself with "Peggy’s Sweet Surrender"—a decadent chocolate cake featuring a hidden sweet raspberry center, all topped off with a velvety smooth chocolate ganache. It was a hit!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table. We’re already counting down the days until next year!

Thanks to a quick response from our IT team, our phone lines are back up and running as normal! Please contact the facility if you need us!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! We would like to say a BIG thank you to the staff and patrons of WesBanco and a special thank you to our staff here at LMCF for providing our residents with another beautiful Christmas. The smiles on their faces show it all!

Boy, oh boy, it's been a great year! We're playing catch up on a few more employee and resident crossover events from the last quarter that never made it out to our friends on Facebook!

First up are photos of our Environmental Services & Dining Assistant Week Relay event, where EVS & DA staff teamed up with a resident to complete a relay of dining and housekeeping-type events, including unplugging and cleaning a "toilet!" This relay was fun for everyone, and a great reminder that our EVS & DA teams work diligently, and with a great attitude, to keep our building clean, safe, and welcoming for our residents and guests.

Next we have some photos of our Dietary Appreciation Week events - members of the Dietary team sat with residents to partake in a favorite activity at LMCF - Bingo! Kyra was happy with her prize and wanted to show it off. The Dietary team was also invited to play a rousing game of Balloon Volleyball with the residents, and were just able to squeak by with a win under their aprons!

Lastly, one more Dietary showcase - this one for Chef Peggy! This summer Peggy completed the Rouxbe program, learning new cooking techniques and skills along with other professional chefs from around the world (and placing in the top of her class!). We had a chance to formally recognize Peggy amongst her collogues and our residents, and got her to debut one of her new recipes in the Teaching Kitchen - Blueberry Chia Pudding! Everyone enjoyed making this snack, and eating it, too!

Our Life Enrichment team has been busy this month! 🥰

In addition to their normal schedule of activities, Life Enrichment has also been taking residents on "night light tours" in the area, including to Heritage Park and the Nite Lites at Michigan International Speedway. Thanks to Jen, Gabby, Heidi, Kate, Dawn, Mallory, Bonnie and Amy for making the holiday season special for our residents! We'll have more to share soon, rumor has it that 🎅 will be visiting our building soon and we'll have plenty of smiles to share with you then!

The city’s been putting this together for 25 years, so you can enjoy it from the comfort of your vehicle. That’s a major plus for the Lenawee Medical Care Facility, which takes residents through the trail in transportation vans.
