👶💤 A stuffy nose can make sleep tough for babies… and parents too.

If your little one is congested, it’s important to know how to help them sleep safely while they recover.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, safe sleep still matters even when your baby isn’t feeling their best:
✔ Always place baby on their back
✔ Use a firm, flat sleep surface (no pillows or props)
✔ Keep the crib clear of blankets and soft items

To help relieve congestion, you can try:
• Saline drops + gentle suction
• A cool mist humidifier
• Steam from a warm shower
• Keeping baby well hydrated

✨ Small changes can make a big difference in helping your baby rest more comfortably and safely.

Nasal congestion from colds, flu, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), or COVID can make it harder for babies to breathe—and sleep at night. Pediatrician and safe sleep expert Dr. Rachel Moon explains why and suggests safe ways to help your baby sleep when they have a stuffy nose.

🩺 Did you know?

There are now new ways to help protect babies from RSV, a common virus that can cause serious illness in infants.

Parents may have two options for protection:
✔ An RSV vaccine during pregnancy that helps pass antibodies to baby before birth
✔ An RSV immunization for infants that provides protection during RSV season

These new options are helping reduce severe RSV illness in babies.

⏰ Daylight Saving Time Is Almost Here – Help Your Child Sleep Easier!

The upcoming time change can disrupt sleep routines for many children and families. Even losing just one hour of sleep can throw off your child’s internal clock for a few days.

The good news is that a few simple steps can make the transition easier:

✔️ Stick to consistent bedtime routines
✔️ Encourage outdoor play and natural sunlight during the day
✔️ Avoid stimulating activities close to bedtime
✔️ Choose relaxing evening activities like reading or quiet music

These small habits can help reset your child’s internal clock and support better sleep as we adjust to the time change.
