🎉 GRAND OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT 🎉

LCMHA is proud to be celebrating the Grand Opening of a new building at 201 Maumee Street in Adrian. Join us for a Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Friday, January 9th beginning at 2pm.

The new building is a major investment in community-based behavioral healthcare. It will also serve as a central hub for Lenawee CMH’s new Mobile Crisis Intervention Team.

A Mobile Crisis Intervention Team is a group of professionals that help people who are having a mental health or substance use emergency. When someone needs help right away, this team can go to them, instead of waiting for them to come to a hospital or office.

The Mobile Crisis Intervention Team works closely with law enforcement, emergency medical services, hospitals, and local organizations. Their goal is to provide support and care that may prevent a trip to the emergency room or jail.

“This new building will help us respond faster, better, and with more care during a crisis,” said Kathryn Szewczuk, Lenawee CMH Executive Director. “Having a modern, dedicated space for our Mobile Crisis Intervention Team allows us to better support people when they need it the most.”

He also strives to make sure that everyone feels welcome and know that they are not alone. Jason wants consumers to know that there are a lot of resources out there and at Pathways we can help you find the ones you need!!

My name is Sam Hollingsworth and I have been a Peer Recovery Coach at Pathways since we opened almost 8 years ago! I am 10 1/2 years clean from a prescription pain pill addiction, and completed inpatient SUD treatment, and lived in transitional housing for one year. After that I knew I wanted to help the others struggling with addiction! I knew I could give back in some way, and it became my goal to be CCAR certified!! My husband Marc and I have 7 children, Lauren 25, Ethan 23, Brennan 21, Aiden 19, Hayden 19, Madison 16, Camden 12, and a 4 year old Grandson Grayson. I enjoy watching our son Brennan play soccer and son Camden wrestle!! My favorite part of being a Recovery Coach is being able to help our consumers find their individual path to Recovery. It is so rewarding to watch them make progress and grow along the way! FUN FACT ABOUT ME : I absolutely LOVE Dolly Parton!! Like REALLY love Dolly Parton!! I enjoy our sober events at Pathways because we are able to interact on a more personal level. If I could give one piece of advice to someone beginning their journey, it would be…”please reach out!! Make sure you are surrounded by positive supports and do not put yourself in triggering situations!” ❤️
