74-year-old former carpenter, Mark Ries, spends almost everyday sharing his love of music- right in the lobby of the ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital.

For children with sensory sensitivities, traditional mall Santas can feel overwhelming—so our ProMedica Total Rehab teams created a calm, sensory-friendly Santa experience at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital, ProMedica Charles & Virginia Hickman Hospital, and Toledo Pediatrics.

Our dedicated pediatric therapy teams—Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), & Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), transformed their spaces into festive, welcoming environments where families enjoyed one-on-one time with Santa, crafts, and photo opportunities designed for comfort and confidence.

This year, 107 children and their families experienced the joy of Sensory Santa. We’re grateful to every family who joined us and helped make these moments so meaningful. Here’s to even more magical memories next year! 🎄✨
