How often do you think we assume we know the motives and intentions of another person? AND How often are we wrong? No one really knows what is driving another's actions or words, unless we ask. When we assume, and we assume incorrectly, we can create more problems in our relationships. We have the potential to react to the assumption, which was a wrong assumption, and then we look foolish or petty and often create a bigger problem. It is so important to ask a question rather than assume. By asking questions we can begin to truly understand their motives and intentions and as a result have a proper response rather than an un-thought-through reaction!
