Studies estimate that 80% of learning is visually related. Many children with learning related vision issues have “20/20” eyesight.

Lisa grew up in Davie County, North Carolina where she graduated from Davie County High School. After high school, she attended Appalachian State University where she graduated with a degree in middle school education. Upon graduation, she began her career as a middle school teacher . Due to her husband’s career, Lisa and her family moved multiple times before finally being able to return home to Davie County in 2011. Lisa continued her teaching career in Davie County until 2020 when she decided to take a step back and began working part-time in order to care for her parents. Lisa volunteers delivering Meals on Wheels and is on the Davie County United Way Board of Directors. In her spare time she loves being with her husband, two adult daughters, and golden doodle. Lisa looks forward to using her teaching skills and love of helping others at Insight.
