Get Ready to Meet Another Amazing Member of the DCC Team!

Hey everyone! It's time for our weekly Meet the Team spotlight, and this week, we're thrilled to introduce you to one of our incredible co-founders, Cara Itule, LMFT!

Cara is a true powerhouse, bringing over 25 years of experience in child development to her practice. She earned her Master's in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. Talk about a wealth of knowledge!

What makes Cara so special? She's an expert at helping people navigate a wide range of challenges, from generalized anxiety and mood disorders (for kids, teens, and adults!) to working with childhood trauma, ADHD, and dyslexia. Her approach is super personalized, blending different therapeutic styles to make sure each person gets exactly what they need.

But that's not all! Cara is also incredibly skilled in supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, helping them build social skills and manage stress. Plus, she's a compassionate advocate for those living with chronic pain and illness-related disabilities.

And if that wasn't enough, Cara has spent over 16 years conducting neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments, helping identify things like dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and even giftedness. She's also trained in EMDR, a powerful tool for trauma-focused intervention.

Basically, Cara is a mental health superhero with a heart of gold! We're so lucky to have her leading the way at DCC.
