📲 Call, text, or click to fill out our quick referral form and start therapy today. 👇🏽 Our mission has two parts to “Move health forward.”

IMUA Health Group is turning into a nonprofit. We are a community mental health center with fitness, nutrition, culture, and education at it’s Heart. Expand access to essential behavioral health services in the state of Hawaiʻi by creating an environment where providers can focus on providing the best care possible. You take care of the patient, we’ll take care of the rest. We are also proud to announce that we are a National Health Service Corps (NHSC)-approved site! For those who are currently or potentially will participate in the NHSC Loan Repayment Program. Help providers learn how to open their own private practices. The need for services are at an all-time high and we are excited to grow the profession to help serve our local communities. Contact us at: careers@imuahealthgroup.com to learn more.

One of the best parts of working with us?
💡 You control your availability.

There are no quotas and no pressure to meet a minimum number of sessions. Some of our therapists see clients on Sundays and we have remote support available even then.

Want to see 3 people per week? Awesome. 30? That’s cool too.
We built this model to support you.

You try to blend in, sit in the corner, and not be noticed. But then the overthinking kicks in…

Why am I acting weird?
Are people judging me?
Did I say something wrong?
Am I the awkward one?

You go home, and your brain replays everything. That’s rumination. And if this feels familiar, you’re not alone. 💙

12/23/2025

We’ve had clinicians refer their close friends to work at IMUA and that means the world. 💙

Yes, it’s humbling. But it’s also a strategic reminder: don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

The same goes for revenue. If your practice depends on minimal sources like just one or two insurance payers you’re vulnerable. That’s why we’re always planning ahead.

Where’s your business vulnerable? And how are you building smarter?

Let’s talk about boundaries, especially when it’s with family.
If the energy around you isn’t safe, respectful, or supportive…you can move.
You can exit the room. You can say no.
They don’t have to change. But you can choose how close you stay.
This hits home for a lot of us, especially in local culture where boundaries haven’t always been taught or modeled.
You deserve peace. 💛

One thing we take seriously at IMUA: getting to know who you actually want to work with. Kids? Teens? Parents?

When referrals come in, we aim to match them with the therapists who are excited and equipped to help. 💡

Especially this holiday season...

Three questions to ask before you say yes to anything:

✅ Do I have the capacity?
✅ Do I have the time?
✅ Do I want to?

If the answer is no to any of these, give yourself permission to say no without guilt.

Because pushing past your limits to please others only leads to frustration, burnout, and disconnection at home.
Let’s normalize protecting our energy.

Mental health isn’t separate from health, it is health.

We wouldn’t ignore a broken bone or chest pain. In the same way, we shouldn’t dismiss emotional pain just because we can’t see it.

Stress, anxiety, and sadness are real and they deserve care.
You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for help.

This week’s reminder:
• Struggling emotionally is not weakness
• You are worthy of support
• Taking care of your mental health is taking care of your health

You’re not alone. ❤️

Many of us carry shame around relationships or decisions we’ve made. “Why did I let them stay?” “How could I not see it?”
But here’s the thing: you were conditioned long before that choice. And your awareness today is a sign of growth, not failure.

In this clip, we talk about how to shift that inner dialogue and start telling a new story. One that gives you credit for surviving and space to heal.

If this resonates, one of our amazing licensed therapists can help. Click contact us to start the appointment process today.

As the year winds down, many of us feel a natural pause, a moment to breathe, reflect, or take stock. For some, this brings warmth. For others, it brings heaviness. Both experiences are valid.

Gratitude doesn’t have to be big or public. It can be a small moment of noticing something that carried you through a long day.

This week, a gentle invitation:
• Notice what supported you
• Acknowledge someone who lightened the load
• Let reflection count as rest

And if you need the reminder: You’re seen and appreciated. 💛

From practicum to private practice, our mission has always been clear: make mental health care more accessible for everyone. 🧡
That means taking all major insurances and supporting therapists at every stage of their career.

Whether you're post-grad, newly licensed, or ready to build your own private practice after 10+ years in the field, IMUA can support your growth. Part-time or full-time, with a team behind you.

We all have masks we’ve used to get through tough seasons—perfectionism, productivity, or pretending we’re “fine.”
Taking them off takes real courage.

When we feel safe enough to be honest, our stress lowers and connection increases. And when we extend that same safety to others, we create spaces where vulnerability is welcomed, not judged.

A gentle check-in for the week:
• What mask might no longer be serving you?
• What part of you needs rest, breath, or truth?
• And how can we hold space for others doing the same?

Here’s to letting go of what’s false and stepping closer to what’s true. ❤️
