In case you are wondering how the modalities we offer can help(PEMF, Cryo and Laser) check this out!
This horse was injured on Sunday 12/21/25 with a deep laceration above her left rear fetlock. Fortunately no tendons involved but it was close. The wound was too old to stitch and it's in a very bad location.
Treatment plan as follows:
Day 1, flush wound and apply dressing with hydrogel, Laser therapy.
Day 2, lower leg swollen, Cryo therapy to hock, cannon bone, fetlock and pastern area avoiding the wound. Then flush and reapply dressing with hydrogel.
Day 3, all swelling gone, flush and PEMF both legs, stifles, hips and back. Apply new dressing.
Day 4, flush and 15 minute Laser treatment over entire leg from stifle to hoof. Reapply dressing.
Will update this post as the treatment continues. She is on antibiotics of course but no other changes. 100% sound at the walk and slightly off at the trot and canter. I expect her to return to full soundness very soon as she is much better every day.
If there is any question about the use of modalities in healing injuries here is your proof.
