My first attempt at using the decorative stitches on a bodice.
I may have to buy some embroidery thread.
And pay attention to what direction Im sewing.
The flowers are iron ons.

I create many things.
But why do I price them as I do?
New fabric is 6-12.00 a yard, plus shipping.
A 3 piece ladies outfit takes at least 4 yards, plus trim, thread and a working sewing machine.
Recycled fabric has to be found, cleaned and often, some gets thrown.
A basic outfit takes a minimum of 6 hours.
A blouse takes 2-3 yards and 6 hours.
Then there is the time spent marketing, shipping and doing customer service.
Having fun is alot of work!

It sold in 3 hours on marketplace. Its headed to Duluth Mn.
Folk costume bodice. Inspired by Scandinavian festival dresses.
Size 14, by the pattern. go by the measurements!
Made from new 100% cotton fabric, outside layer, inside lining is recycled, likely a cotton/ polyester blend.
Closed it measures:
Bodice
Bust: 38-40
Waist: 28-30
Nape to hem: 16
Drawstring closure will fit 2” larger. Grosgrain tabs and lacing. Not meant to be worn closed.
Front is interfaced with light weight pellon, no boning, this is not a corset.
Shoulder seams are overlapped, they can be adjusted, if it is gapping in the back, it is laced too tight, or needs the shoulders adjusted!
Machine washable.
Skirt
Double drawstring waist.
Hem is 120” wide
39” long I can shorten it for free. Heavy weight cotton fabric with a linen look weave. Trim is 1” polyester grosgrain ribbon and floral trim.
Medium weight vintage permanant press apron with 84” ties, 42 ” across hem, pleated down to 18” at the waist, 30” long. It can be shortened.
