We are so excited to shine our spotlight on one of our incredible aides, Sue Gabert!

Sue has dedicated herself to caring for others for many years, and her experience shows in everything she does. She is truly a fantastic caregiver who understands that the “little things” make the biggest difference. Whether it’s noticing a resident’s specific preference or going the extra mile to make someone feel comfortable, Sue’s attention to detail and deep compassion for our residents are unmatched!💞

She is a wonderful person through and through, bringing a kindness to our halls that is felt by everyone who meets her. But don’t let her sweet nature fool you—Sue is also our jokester! She loves to keep us all on our toes by pulling lighthearted pranks on her coworkers, when she’s not here caring for our residents, Sue loves spending quality time with:

✨Meet the Rivers Edge Team✨ Christi Palazuelos, Kitchen Manager

We are so excited to feature our incredible Kitchen Manager, Christi in today’s Staff Spotlight!

If you’ve spent any time near our dining room, you already know that Christi is a powerhouse in the kitchen. Her talent for cooking is unmatched, and we are lucky to have her expertise right here. Her culinary journey has even taken her across the country, where she’s shared her skills in many different states before bringing that flavor and passion to our community.👩🏻‍🍳🍽️

But Christi’s talents don’t stop at the stove! When she’s not whipping up a fantastic meal, she is often the life of the party. With an amazing singing voice and a natural gift for Djing, she always knows exactly how to set the mood and keep the energy high.🎶🌃

She especially enjoys spending time with her daughter and granddaughter💕

✨Meet the Rivers Edge Team✨ Stacy Leiviska, DON, RN

We are so incredibly lucky to have Stacy leading our clinical team here at Rivers Edge! Since joining us in 2023, she has brought a wealth of knowledge, a huge heart, and a truly inspiring dedication to our residents.

Stacy’s journey into healthcare is a powerful one. After being diagnosed with cancer at age 21, she felt a calling to help others navigate their own health journeys. She began her career as a CNA in 2001 and earned her nursing degree in 2005.
Before joining our family, Stacy spent over 20 years at Riverwood, gaining expert experience across Med-Surg, ICU, ER, and PACU. Her passion for nursing even took her across the country; she spent three year at the Mayo Clinic and completed a travel nursing assignment in North Carolina. Even today, when she isn’t here with us, she continues to serve our community by working in the ICU at CRMC.👩🏻‍⚕️🩺

Family First: Stacy has been married to her husband, Jim, for 25 years. They have three children: Camryn (22), Michael (19), and Lainey (17).
Off the Clock: When she isn’t caring for others, you can find her traveling to new places or catching a live concert. 🎶 ✈️

✨Meet the Rivers Edge Team✨ Christian Parker, Maintenance

We are shining a bright light on the man who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes-our very own maintenance lead, Christian!

If something needs fixing, Christian is usually there before you even have to ask. His dedication to keeping our facility in tip-top shape and in working order is something we appreciate every single day. Between the warm temps in the summer and the below freezing temps in the winter, he is there to work and fix it all.

Christian enjoys time in the great outdoors. Between fishing, kayaking, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling he stays pretty busy. He also enjoys being a handyman and working on vehicles, learning something new each time he picks up the wrench. Christian also enjoys playing some video games from time to time.

Christians kind heart, positive attitude, and wide range of skills make him an invaluable part of our family. We are lucky to have you. Thank you Christian!👨🏼‍🔧

If you see Emily in the halls, she’s likely busy ensuring every corner of our facility is sparkling and comfortable for our residents. Her dedication to detail and her warm, friendly presence make a world of difference in the daily lives of everyone here.

When she’s not keeping our facility in tip-top shape, Emily’s world revolves around her family. She is devoted Mom who loves nothing more than spending quality time with her kids. Whether they are playing, exploring, or just relaxing together, her family is her greatest joy.
