We are so excited to feature Emily in our Staff Spotlight this week! As a vital member of our housekeeping team, Emily is part of the reason our community feels so much like home.

If you see Emily in the halls, she’s likely busy ensuring every corner of our facility is sparkling and comfortable for our residents. Her dedication to detail and her warm, friendly presence make a world of difference in the daily lives of everyone here.

When she’s not keeping our facility in tip-top shape, Emily’s world revolves around her family. She is devoted Mom who loves nothing more than spending quality time with her kids. Whether they are playing, exploring, or just relaxing together, her family is her greatest joy.

Thank you Emily for all of your hard work and dedication to our facility. We truly appreciate you in all that you do! 💖

It’s time for our Staff Spotlight! Today we’re shining a light on a team member who brings a wealth of experience, a “can-do” spirit, and a whole lot of heart to our dining room: Tracy

While you likely know her for the delicious meals she prepares as one of our talented cooks, Tracy is a true “Jack-of-all-trades” in the world of senior care.🧑‍🍳🥗

Tracy has dedicated over 20 years to serving the elderly. Before joining our kitchen, she spent years mastering every corner of community life. She has served as an aid, worked in dietary roles, and spent significant time in housekeeping and professional cleaning.

When she’s not busy whipping up something tasty in the kitchen. Tracy knows how to relax and enjoy the simple things. You can often find her catching up on the latest twists and turns of The Young and the Restless. Her absolute favorite way to spend her time is with her daughter and her grandkids. Whether they’re playing or just hanging out out, family is her world!

We are so grateful for her hard work, her versatility, and the warmth she brings to our community!💗

It takes a special kind of person to thrive when everyone else is getting some shut eye, and we are so lucky to have one of the best on our team. This week, we’re shining a light on Sophie, one of our dedicated overnight caregivers!

Sophie is a seasoned pro in the world of caregiving. With 7 years of experience in long-term care, she brings a wealth of knowledge, a sense of s***k, and a watchful eye to our community during the quiet hours.

When she isn’t keeping things running smoothly overnight, Sophie is on the go! She’s a big believer in staying active and making the most of her daylight hours. You can usually find her pushing her limits in exercises classes, exploring local trails on her two feet, chasing energy of live music at concerts, and traveling the world.

Sophie’s dedication to our residents throughout the night is unmatched. She is a vital part of our care team, and we are beyond thankful for her hard work and heart. Thank you Sophie for everything you do!❤️‍🔥

Part 2 of our staff spotlight series is dedicated to….. Shelby!

Shelby started in long-term care as soon as she turned 16. She then started with the Rivers Edge family in 2024 and has been great company ever since.

Outside of work, she is a dedicated consumer enthusiast with a keen eye for retail trends, shopping tell she drops. She is also currently in college taking classes to become a licensed social worker. Whoop Whoop🥳

We are incredibly grateful for Shelby and the dedication she brings to our facility. Her commitment to our residents is an inspiration to us all. We are lucky to have such a reliable and compassionate person on our team. We truly appreciate your heart and hustle.💝

✨Meet the Rivers Edge Team ✨Kristina Backstrom, RN, LALD

What better way than to kick off our staff spotlight series with the one behind all of the day-to-day operations at our facility.

Kris began her journey in healthcare & long-term care in 1974, starting as a CNA. She then went on to obtain her LPN in 1979, then her RN in 1989. Last but not least, Kris has been apart of our Rivers Edge team since 2018.

When Kris isn't here working hard, she enjoys a cold drink of Pepsi, spending time with her husband, watching sports games at home, and visiting with her daughters as well as her grandchildren.

We are beyond grateful for her incredible leadership. She balances a thousand moving parts with grace and heart. Thank you for your dedication to our residents and staff!💖
