Cleveland Clinic Akron General Emergency Medicine Residency

We are a 3 year emergency medicine residency program, affiliated with Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).

Our main teaching hospital, Akron General, is a member of Cleveland Clinic. We are accredited for 11 PGY1 EM residency positions per year.

Congratulations to PGY-3 Dr. Brianna Kincade and our Assistant Ultrasound Director Dr. Bob Stenberg for presenting at ACEP yesterday!

Dr. Kincade’s project was viewed as a one of the top submissions for this years ACEP National meeting and was chosen as a plenary presentation. We are so proud!

The Emergency Medicine residency program at Cleveland Clinic Akron General is a supportive and inclusive environment that has excellent clinical instruction that will prepare you for the real world, whether this is clinical practice, academics, or advanced training. We were the first community teaching hospital EM residency in the country and celebrated our 40th year anniversary in 2013.
