We services individuals with developmental disabilities. We strive to meet their needs so schedules may vary.

Please have your own transportation for our clients often require trips to the doctor, grocery store, and general outings.

You must have a positive attitude, your own transportation, and be willing to work a flexible schedule.

As an AOE Direct Support Professional, your mission is to provide an unmatched level of service to our consumers with disabilities. You will be a representative of AOE and everything we stand for: helping those in our community with disabilities to live independently, with pride and professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Must be able to read and write, communicate with others. Help with a wide variety of daily activities such as personal care, housekeeping and meal preparation, assist in light cleaning, transporting to and from activities including medical appointments when needed therefore your own transportation is required. You will be required to fill out activity forms, time sheets, and other forms as needed.

Work closely and efficiently with a team of people including your co-workers, client's family members, and medical professionals to help your client to live as independent as possible.

Criminal Background verification, with acceptable clearance according to applicable rules and requirements.
Ability to Work independently, performing job functions with minimal supervision necessary.
Other related duties, as requested or necessary.
Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed and provide responsible supervision and assistance to individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
Ability to work as a team member and communicate in a positive and effective manner with persons served, support staff, and others.
Self-motivated with strong direct care skills (or desire to learn)
Applicants with past experience as a caregiver, direct support professional, resident care associate, direct care staff, home health aide, home care aide, home health care provider, patient care assistant, personal care aide, personal care assistant, personal care attendant, resident care assistant will be an excellence fit for this role.
