Join Queens Village Akron for an exhilarating African Dance Workshop at the Gus Johnson Community Center / Project Ujima! Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms and movements of African dance. This in-person event is perfect for dance enthusiasts of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced dancers.

Led by talented instructor Taj Munnerlyn, prepare to be energized as you connect with the spirit of African music and dance.
You're also in for a real treat with a performance from Mayne Attraction Dance Studio located in Cleveland, OH!

The workshop will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time).
Please come dressed comfortably in attire suitable for dancing. Bring your enthusiasm and be ready to move your body to the infectious beats. No prior dance experience is required – just a willingness to let loose and have a great time! A traditional African cuisine will be served.

We had a house full of moms and babies for our Waist Beads workshop! Thank you, Tiera Wade, for sharing your story, the historical perspective of waist beads and allowing our moms to create their own! We had a great time!
