Updating to edit/add that we tried mobile massage and it was too difficult on equipment and our bodies ... we have not offered mobile mandate since November 2021 and have no future plans at this time to do so.

It has taken all weekend and then some to write this post, but now that we have officially informed the city and they responded back, we want to let you all know that changes are coming to the way we will be doing business...
First, we want to say we love our clients and are so grateful for every one of you, whether a regular client or once in a while client, you all are important to us and we want to be here for you!
We opened our business 5 years ago, on June 25, and on that same date this year, we sent our letter of intention to the city of Akron.
We will be ending our lease at the building on South Street the end of September, and will still continue to see clients there during this time.
We are looking at a few other options as we begin to move into our "golden years" (Tambrey turned 59 in May) and a few of the old age issues are beginning to creep upon us! We want to be making lifestyle changes now, while we are able to, before we are forced to! We may slow down on scheduling for a while after August, until we set our personal goals back in place and focus on us for a month or two.
We still want to be here for our clients, so as we move forward after September, we will begin scheduling mobile/in home appointments...we will come to you as long as you have a main floor (not a whole staircase to maneuver up and down, but a few steps into the house is fine) room that we can set up a table for you.
David and Tambrey are both licensed in Iowa, David is licensed in Nebraska, and Tambrey will work on getting licensed in South Dakota, so we can take care of our clients in the tri-state area. With scheduling mobile sessions, that will take a bit more coordination so we aren't driving back and forth all over, and it means that we won't be able to do last minute/same day appointments, so please keep this in mind, especially if you are an occasional client!
This isn't the end at all...just a change in direction, and we are excited to see where it leads us! Our wish is that you stick with us and come along on the journey with us!
Tambrey hopes to find a place to start Groove back up again, and will still be doing earseeds and continuing her clinical herbalist studies.
