Maybe happy looks like this—> falling back in love with your life. Eat your favorite foods, admire sunrises and sunsets, pick up the book you’ve been trying to finish, dance to your favorite songs, buy yourself flowers, bring your mind back to how blessed you really are.

Maybe happy is choosing peace over the pressure make you feel to “be perfect.” Laughing so hard your soul feels lighter. Spending time with people who feel like sunshine. And learning to enjoy your own company like it’s the best place to be.✨

As a Therapist I work on a lot of different things with many different people of all ages and stages of life. Lately, most of my clients have been struggling with “relationship issues.” Most of the times it is women who are left feeling “unwanted,” but let me remind you… whoever is making you feel like that, IS NOT your person. I know that may hurt. 😞

Think of this.. they are not too busy to stop for 20 seconds to text you, they are not responding to you simply because they do not find you as a priority (come on, we are on our phones all day, they have the opportunity), they are choosing to keep distance so that they do not have to choose responsibility, and they are unclear about what they want because they want to keep their options open..

I know it hurts, but remind yourself of ALL of those things listed above- in order to find the strength in YOU to become a better version of yourself because of their negative actions. Use it for your good!

Remember to set your boundaries and the right people will follow them and will respect them. The trick is to always make sure your boundaries are clear. Never give someone false hope. Always keep your boundaries in check so that others know what you stand for 100% of the time, not just 50% of the time. If you set a boundary, STICK WITH IT.
