A healthy amount of stress says that you care about the situation at hand. Sometimes it can help you focus.
Unfortunately, when your stress level becomes too high, anxiety takes control of your thoughts, your physical health, and becomes a significant obstacle in your daily functioning.
Whether anxiety affects your physical health, your ability to function in school or work, your relationships or your effectiveness as a parent – we can help.
We work with cognitive therapies mindfully applied, and help you develop individualized tools and strategies for you and your family.

Amisha Mehtani, AMFT
Amisha enjoys working with individuals, couples and families, and uses a humanistic approach and systemic lens to guide her work with clients. While working with couples, she employs Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to de-escalate conflicts, create safety in the relationship and help them form a new way of connecting. In addition, Amisha integrates TEAM-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients work through held beliefs that may be causing their suffering.
We begin to experience problems in our lives when we feel “stuck.” Through attunement, reflective listening, validating, and building a strong therapeutic alliance, Amisha helps clients work through this “stuck” place and find solutions.
