We were proud to participate once again as a vendor at this wonderful community event hosted by the City of El Cerrito Recreation Department. Today’s fair brought together local seniors, families, and caregivers to explore valuable resources, wellness programs, and support services for aging well. 🌿

Events like this are at the heart of what we do — connecting with our community, sharing information about in-home care, and helping older adults live safely and comfortably at home.

We loved connecting with Alameda County retirees, partners, and community organizations — both in person and virtually — to share resources that support healthy, independent living. 🌿

Events like this bring together so many great programs, from Kaiser’s wellness sessions to the Pleasanton Senior Center’s activities and SOS Meals on Wheels’ community support. We’re grateful to be part of such an inspiring day focused on wellness, prevention, and connection.

🌟 Aging Well, Living Well 🌟

Our co-founder and co-owner Alice Lai-Bitker had the privilege of attending Kaiser Permanente’s Aging Well Summit today, October 7th. The summit brought together state and local leaders, geriatricians, community advocates, and experts to explore innovations that support healthy aging — at home, in our communities, and across health systems.

✨ With the powerful reminder that 1 in 4 Californians will be 60 or older by 2030, the event’s keynote speakers, Ashton Applewhite (writer and anti-ageism activist) and Rita Moreno (iconic actress, performer, and inspirational speaker), inspired attendees to envision a future where older adults live long, live well, and age with dignity.

It was a wonderful opportunity for Alice to reconnect with peers in the field — Lara Calvert, Executive Director of Spectrum Community Services, and May Funabiki with Senior Injury Prevention. Fun fact: Alice and May were both trained as instructors for the Matter of Balance Fall Prevention program years ago!

Also great to see Brendalynn Goodall, Commissioner of the CA Commission on Aging — a familiar face from over 15 years ago when she and Alice first crossed paths working on aging issues. 💛
