When EMT students practice C-spine (cervical spine) control on a supine patient, they are mainly practicing manual in-line stabilization and controlled head movements to neutral position.

Tips to improve your C-Spine skills are:

1) Hold C-Spine the entire time
2) Check CSM before and after
3) No patient lateral movement

Hamid Mahdavi was a firefighter. 🚨

When peaceful protesters were shot during the recent protests in Iran, he didn’t look away. He lifted the wounded and carried them toward safety. ⛑️

For that act of humanity, he was shot and killed by IRGC forces.

He did what he was trained to do.
He did what he believed in.
He chose compassion over fear.

Today we honor more than a firefighter. We honor a man of courage, conviction, and heart.

His name will not be forgotten. 🕊️

At BATA you will learn first hand from field practitioners and industry experts. Our instructors are real working Paramedics and EMTs who can provide years of invaluable lessons learned and best practices.

Because of our location you will learn first hand what a career in EMS will hold for you. Ambulance ride alongs, Emergency Department clinical rotations and hands on skills instructions have been designed to increase student learning.
