Apple butter, apple sauce, crabapple jelly, cinnamon candy apple jelly, chokecherry jelly, sunflower jelly, nanking cherry jelly, sunshine tea, and nanking cherry mead (the one item I can’t sell because I don’t want the ATF up my butt 😂) all in the works and set to be ready for the holiday season and holiday gifts 🙂

Harmony Gardens and Landscaping LLC of Sanford, CO, GENEROUSLY allowed us to harvest some of their excess fruit, increasing our flavor options from last year. We are so grateful and excited!

If you’ve ever wondered why our wild sunflower jelly costs more than some of our other jellies, let me tell you about todays petal harvest. I spent about two hours walking this sandy canal, harvesting petals and being mindful to leave behind the heads for reseeding and further mindful to leave enough petals on each plant for bees and other insects to find the plant for continued feeding. Bugs of all kinds LOVE and need these sunflowers. One particularly difficult bug to deal with are the carpenter ants that were SWARMING these plants and ultimately swarming me as I harvested. I have carpenter ant bites places you do not want carpenter ant bites. ALL that for about an 8th a reusable shopping bag of petals.

All that being said we’re excited to not only make some jelly, but to try our hand at dehydrating for some tea this year as well! Happy harvesting y’all! 🌻

30 quarter pints of diced peaches, 5 pints of sliced peaches, 7 pints of peach jam, and 6.5 half pints of diced pears. It was a good evening of canning with every single jar sealing properly ❤️ now to wash, label, and store- but that can wait for tomorrow.

Fresh herbs from the garden. Sage, rosemary, and thyme for days. We’re going to make some herb butter to freeze tomorrow and we’ll dry our next harvest.
