Today is Black Balloon Day. A day of remembrance. A day of awareness. And a day of love for the lives lost to the disease of addiction.
🖤 Whose life are you honoring today?
Black Balloon Day honors the sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and friends whose lives were taken too soon. Each black balloon represents a life, a story, a family forever changed.
Addiction does not discriminate. It touches every community, every background, every family. Behind every loss is someone who was loved deeply and missed beyond words.
Today we remember them.
We say their names.
We honor their lives.
For those of us in recovery, this day is also a reminder of why our work matters. Recovery is life and death. Every person who finds recovery is proof that hope is possible. Every life saved matters.
So today we hold space for grief, for remembrance, and for the families who carry this loss every day.
And we recommit ourselves to fighting for recovery, supporting one another, and making sure more people get the chance to live.
If you have lost someone, we remember them with you today. 🖤
