There are many ways to learn how to speak well.
You can refine delivery, practice presence, or learn how to communicate more effectively.

But there’s another layer of speaking that most approaches never touch.

It’s where you already know what needs to be said ⎻ before technique, before polish, before performance.

And when that layer isn’t connected to what’s inside you underneath the fear, no amount of skill makes speaking feel right.

This is the layer Find Your Voice works with.

The 7-Step Guide to Fearless Speaking is an introduction to that work—not about sounding better, but about reconnecting with where your speaking actually comes from.

Comment “GUIDE” and I’ll tell you how to access it.

When Robin Goad said this, I felt it.

Beliefs like that don’t disappear. They shape your relationships, your career — and the way you use your voice.

𝗜𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻’𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲, 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳. Performance became safety. Achievement became identity.

Success itself isn’t the problem.

But when it’s driven by the need for approval and applause, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 — sometimes even hiding the truth from yourself.

✨ 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 and still feel unsettled underneath, it may be time to question the belief you once accepted as truth.

When silence was safer, these women spoke - and their voices changed history.

What might yours change?

So many of us are carrying words that feel too risky to say. Too honest. Too much. Words we swallowed to avoid being judged, misunderstood, or hurt.

And we keep waiting for the right moment, the right permission—until we realize that the truth waits for nothing.

This Black History Month, I've been sitting with the stories of three Black women, who chose to speak anyway, who paid the cost and changed history because of it.

Are there words inside of you that remain unspoken?
A truth you've been carrying that might liberate not just you, but someone else who's still finding the courage to speak?

You don't have to handle this alone. You can find your voice so that you can claim it, dare to speak it, and inspire listeners.

Message me "CHAT" and I'll send you a link to book a free 15-minute conversation, where we clarify what's unspoken and what the next steps are to find your voice and speak from your truth.

Your voice matters. Your story matters.

Most spaces ask you to speak over what you’re feeling—Speaking Circles are where you don’t have to.

They slow things down.
Enough for you to notice what happens before you speak, as you speak, and when you don’t rush to fill the space.

There’s a quality of stillness in the room.
Not silence you have to manage.

The kind that lets your voice arrive without force.

You don’t have to push past the tightness.
You don’t have to sound confident.
You don’t have to know what you’re going to say.

Speaking Circles is an in-person practice of relational presence—where speaking comes from being anchored, not from overriding yourself.

You can speak from a place where your voice doesn’t need to be forced, edited, or performed.

Happening tomorrow, February 11 | 6-7:30 PM | Berkeley, CA

You know how to speak.

You don’t need more tips.
You don’t need to practice being confident.
You don’t need to push yourself to say more.

Yet when moments that matter come, speaking feels unexpectedly uncomfortable.
You feel it in your throat, in your body…
in how you make your voice smaller,
how you edit your words without meaning to,
or how you quietly retreat and hide from the moment.

✨ This is where SPEAKING CIRCLES can help shift that.

It’s a space where your voice doesn’t need to be managed or forced.

You’re not asked to perform.
You’re not asked to speak perfectly.
You’re not coached, corrected, or observed for growth.

You’re simply given a turn—and time—to be present.
No pressure.
No judgment.

Some people speak right away.
Some people take their time.

All of it is welcome.

For some, there’s a subtle shift.
For others, relief.
Occasionally, a breakthrough.

People begin to realize that speaking doesn’t have to be forced.
That silence isn’t a problem.
That their voice doesn’t need to be polished.

Speaking Circles offer an experience most people haven’t had:
being with their voice without pressure to use it a certain way.

If you’re curious what that feels like, and why it often changes how people show up afterward, you’re invited to join the next Speaking Circle on February 11, 6–7:30 PM, in Berkeley, CA.

The past year included many conversations I’m grateful for.

Thank you to every podcast and talk show host who invited me into their space and trusted me with their audience.

Each invitation meant time, listening, and care. The conversations that unfolded reflected that.

What stayed with me wasn’t exposure or visibility, but the quality of the listening and the willingness to engage with voice, fear, and self-expression without rushing to fix or simplify what’s human.

These experiences deepened my commitment to using my voice with intention to speak in ways that honor presence, truth, and the depth that real conversation makes possible.

Here’s to more conversations that make room for what matters in 2026!

Avoiding fear doesn’t make it go away.

Because whatever you don’t face becomes a limit.

Not just in speaking, but in how fully you show up in different situations.

And this isn’t about forcing confidence or perfecting a performance.

It’s about staying connected to what’s actually inside you.

Your true voice isn’t something you need to manufacture.

It comes from being present with yourself.

👉🏻This is the foundation of the 7-Step Guide to Fearless Speaking.

Not learning how to perform, but understanding what helps your voice come through.

You can talk just fine most of the time.

It’s only certain moments.
Meetings. Important conversations.
When you really want to be understood.

That’s when something in you tightens.
You second-guess.
You go quiet or say less than you planned.

And afterward you think,
“Why was that so hard? I knew what I wanted to say.”

There’s a reason this pattern shows up.
It’s not a confidence flaw.

If you want clarity instead of more pressure to “push through,” I created the 7 Step Guide to Fearless Speaking as a first step.

DM me “GUIDE” and I’ll send you the link to access it.

A cognitive science professor once said something his students couldn’t shake:
Time doesn’t rush.
We stop noticing it.

He asked them to do something simple.

At the start and end of each day, notice one thing.
A sound. A smell. A brief moment.

By the third day, many said the same thing:
My days feel longer.

Nothing about their schedule changed.

Only their attention did.

At the beginning of the year, it can feel like everything is moving fast.

But often, what’s missing isn’t time.

It’s noticing.

This is about moving forward with clarity, not haste.

What you notice here shapes what you choose next.

💬You’re welcome to leave a word below about what you’re noticing, if it helps to name it.

Reflection matters.

Yes, sometimes to learn from what didn’t work.

But first, to see clearly.
To understand what’s true.
To hear your own voice without the noise around it.

The 12 Days of Mindful Peace and Powerful Presence 2025 Reflection Challenge is now complete inside the group, and it’s not too late to go through them.

Some parts of this year were heavy.

Responsibilities.
Decisions.
Moments where it felt like you had to figure things out on your own.

And still, looking back, you weren’t actually alone.

Day 2 is a reflection on connection and how it showed up for you this year.

Add a few words in the group so we can see it and celebrate it with you.
