📣 Ladies, would you know if you're having a heart attack?

👉 The signs of a heart attack are different for women. As with men, women’s most common heart attack symptom is chest pain or discomfort. But women may experience other symptoms that are typically less associated with heart attack, such as shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting, and back or jaw pain. Women are also more likely to ignore their symptoms.

🚨 Know the warning signs of a heart attack or stroke and call 911 immediately.

❤️ Med Center Health encourages you to wear red on Friday, February 6. By wearing red that day, you show your support for spreading the word about women and heart disease.

The first Friday in February is “Go Red for Women,” the American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative that is designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally.

Heart attack and stroke are life-or-death emergencies — every second counts. If you think you or someone you’re with has any symptoms of a heart attack or stroke, call 911 immediately.
