You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re not failing!

If you’re constantly exhausted, tense, and running on empty… it might not be a motivation problem — it might be your nervous system.

When you’ve been living in survival mode for too long, your body can’t access real energy, recovery, or strength. And no amount of “pushing harder” fixes that.

Inside our FREE live workshop, Family Wellness Blueprint: Movement Edition, we’re breaking down how stress impacts your body — and how intentional movement + neurologically-focused chiropractic care can help you regulate, rebuild, and feel strong again.

No extremes. No shame. Just real tools for real life.

Join us Saturday, February 28th at 12PM on Zoom.

Because strength starts with regulation. 💛

✨ Community Partner Spotlight: Journey to Joy ✨

Healing often begins with a simple question: How do I break toxic cycles? How do I find balance? How do I truly feel like myself again? We’re honored to spotlight Helene Verdile, founder of Journey to Joy, whose work beautifully aligns with our nervous system–based mission at CDFC. As a Life & Emotional Wellness Coach, Helene uses a trauma-informed, Polyvagal and somatic approach to help clients regulate and retrain their nervous systems for lasting change — not just temporary relief. With advanced training in Somatic Experiencing®, brain health, mindfulness, Emotional Brain Training, and multiple trauma-informed certifications, she brings both deep expertise and compassionate guidance to the community she serves.

What we admire most is her heart. Having walked her own healing journey, Helene now helps others move from chaos, anxiety, and disconnection into purpose, peace, and joy. Her work complements our care by supporting nervous system regulation beyond the adjustment room — creating a truly holistic path to healing for our community. We’re so grateful to partner with Journey to Joy in empowering individuals to rediscover their voice, reclaim their power, and step into the fullest version of their lives. 🤍

Every day felt impossible. “Discouraging. The anxiety just kept building,” Jen says, describing constant heart palpitations and tension that never seemed to ease. 😖

She tried lifestyle changes, “relaxing,” cutting caffeine, doing everything she could, but nothing brought lasting relief.

Then she saw her neurological scans. “It was like a light bulb moment, and finally, I felt relief. Like I was finally where I was meant to be to figure these symptoms out.” 💡

The shift came fast. Jen said, “After the first week of adjustments (3 appointments), I had my first day of no heart palpitations.” 🎉

Today, her life has changed in ways she can feel every day. “I barely notice heart palpitations anymore. If I do, it’s manageable and doesn’t last days.” Anxiety doesn’t overwhelm her anymore, and “my body feels less tense.”

What once felt impossible now feels manageable, calm, and within reach. It’s incredible what the body can do when the nervous system is given a chance to reset.

Way to go, Jen, for taking action and prioritizing real healing!! ❤️

Xander's journey was filled with struggles: regulation, sensory challenges, sleep issues, and accidents, all affecting his daily life. 😔

For his mom, it was an exhausting and defeating battle. As a social worker and behavior coach turned school administrator, she had tried every strategy imaginable. Yet, nothing seemed to alleviate his struggles, leaving them feeling helpless and questioning their parenting abilities. But they knew in their gut there was something deeper going on.

Then came some long-sought-after HOPE: Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic Care. When they saw his neurological scans and the way his body was operating internally, it provided validation and an understanding of why he was behaving this way. 💡

As care began, the wins started with small moments, like a calm reaction to spilled water. Mom said, “The first 'ah ha' was when Xander spilled his water on himself. 3 months ago, he would have been kicking, screaming, crying that his clothes felt weird, taken his clothes off, and refused to go into the chiro, paired with hurtful statements, etc. Instead, he said, “Momma, I spilled my water, but I’m just a little wet, and it’s a small problem”. I cried, driving the rest of the way to our PX Doc’s office because my life did not turn into chaos over spilled water.” 🎉

Now with continued care, Mom says, "I see joy on my son’s face that I haven’t seen before. I believe much of it has come from physically feeling better, but also a sense of pride he’s never had before. Xander used to carry so much shame and embarrassment after he’d have big emotions. Now, Xander, for a 5-year-old, is managing his emotions just like any other 5-year-old. Xander is coming home from school and actually telling me what he’s learned and what he’s doing, when previously he would refuse to talk about school because he didn’t want to share when he got in “trouble”. We are so proud of his growth; he’s quicker to calm down, quicker to apologize, quicker to self-correct after a mistake." 💙

Xander, way to go, buddy!

When the World Feels Like “Too Much” for Your Child 😓⬇️

👉 Loud noises.
👉 Busy stores.
👉 Crowded classrooms.
👉 Big emotions.
👉 Unexpected touch.
👉 Strong smells.

For some kids, these everyday experiences can feel overwhelming, not because they’re “too sensitive,” but because their nervous system is working overtime.
Here’s what’s really happening 👇

Your child’s nervous system is like a computer with too many tabs open. 💻

It’s overloaded and struggling to filter sounds, lights, movement, and emotions the way it’s designed to.

When the nervous system is stuck in a stress response, even normal environments can feel intense and exhausting. That’s when meltdowns, shutdowns, and avoidance start to make sense.

At CDFC, we can help support and rebalance the nervous system, so kids can begin to process the world with more ease, flexibility, and calm. Public places feel safer. Transitions get smoother. And families often feel more freedom again.
