🏃‍♀️ A Runner’s Return to Movement & Strength

Kelly W. went from daily runs to being unable to sit, stand, walk, or rest comfortably due to severe leg pain. After physical therapy brought little relief, she turned to Dr. Alexander Riccio for help. A microdiscectomy restored her ability to move freely, and she is now back to running and rebuilding her relationship with fitness.

5-Star Care! 👉 “Dr. Chisena assessed my hand and cast it. But what impressed me about this provider was overhearing how he greeted and spoke to his patients who were children. He was terrific, taking the fear away and having cheerful, encouraging conversation. I was impressed. Anything happens to my grandkids, I want them seen by Dr. Chisena." –Suzanne M.

At The Bone & Joint Center, we’re dedicated to offering the most advanced joint replacement options available. Board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Joseph Zimmerman is proud to provide the Oxford® Cementless Partial Knee replacement, an innovative solution for patients with arthritis isolated to one compartment of the knee.

Unlike a traditional total knee replacement, this minimally invasive procedure targets only the damaged portion of the joint, preserving healthy bone, cartilage, and ligaments. The cementless implant encourages natural bone growth, supporting long-term stability and more natural knee movement.

Patients often experience a smoother, more natural range of motion, less postoperative discomfort, quicker returns to activity, and reduced risk of future revision surgery.

As the only surgeon in the area performing the Oxford® Cementless Partial Knee replacement, Dr. Joseph Zimmerman offers patients a more natural, long-lasting solution for knee pain.

This advanced procedure eliminates the need for bone cement, allowing the patient’s own bone to grow into the implant for a stronger, more durable connection.

Why patients choose the Oxford Cementless Partial Knee:
✅ Less bone removed during surgery
✅ Faster recovery and return to activity
✅ A knee that feels and moves more naturally

With extensive experience using this leading-edge technology, Dr. Zimmerman continues to bring world-class orthopaedic innovation to the Capital Region.

🦃🔪 Turkey Carving Time!

Before you dig into that delicious bird, keep these carving tips in mind so the only thing you’re serving up is smiles (and seconds 😉):

• Use a sharp knife—it’s actually safer than a dull one.
• Keep your cutting area dry and steady.
• Always carve away from yourself.
• Let the turkey rest before slicing.

Carve smart, stay safe, and enjoy every bite of your holiday feast!

And as always, if something goes awry, we’re here to help—just give us a call!
