Come to the table - bring your ideas!

This February, we’re hosting Strategy Sessions in New York — and we’re inviting pastors to join us for a vision-focused conversation about how we partner together.

If you’ve attended one of our Pastor Brunch’s before, you’ll notice this is a semi-similar event, but with a whole new spin. These Strategy Sessions are designed to move beyond updates and fundraising into clear purpose, collaboration, and forward-looking partnership.

Each 45-minute session will include:
→ shared vision and mission clarity
→ conversation around referral and discipleship pathways
→ space for ideas, questions, and collaboration

We’re grateful for the opportunity to host young moms and families for a time of connection, encouragement, and practical support at our Schenectady Center.

This recent client networking event brought together local agencies and nonprofits — with directors from Schenectady inviting community partners to table at the Alpha Center and connect directly with the families we serve. Organizations like a local doctor’s office, Moms Start Here, and many others joined us to share resources and build meaningful relationships with our clients.

Events like this are made possible through thoughtful planning, dedicated staff, and strong community partnerships. Thank you for helping us serve families with care, excellence, and intention.

As we continue serving women, men, and families across our centers, here are a few ways you can be lifting this work up with us:

→ Pray that our church relationships would grow into creative, life-giving partnerships as we love and support our clients together
→ Pray for continued, steady client traffic at each of our centers
→ Pray that women facing abortion would feel deeply loved, seen, and supported — and choose life knowing they are not alone
→ Pray that men who walk through our doors would know they matter and feel heard and supported as well
→ Pray for opportunities to share the gospel with those we encounter
→ Pray for more babies to be welcomed into the world and experience the blessing of life
→ Pray for the growth of our team, including the addition of someone who can help advance our mission through grants and fundraising support

Closing Sanctity of Human Life month with gratitude and a challenge.

As Sanctity of Human Life month comes to an end, we reflect on the truth that guides our mission every day: Every human life has inherent dignity and worth.

This month, and every month, your generosity allows us to put that belief into action. Because of you, women are met with compassion, provided with life-affirming resources, and reminded that they are supported and valued.

We want to challenge you - be bold for the cause of life! We need boldness each and every day to make a difference for LIFE.

This month’s team member highlight is Mike Adams!

Mike is our Executive Director! He joined Alpha in May 2025 and has been leading with heart, vision, and a passion for life ever since.

When asked what he loves most about Alpha, Mike said:
"I love the team we've built! There is a staff culture where we work together and believe in each other."

Outside of work, Mike enjoys speaking at churches, spending time with his sons, and cooking up something delicious in the kitchen.

We can’t talk about the work happening at Alpha without highlighting our AMAZING volunteers who give their time and talents so generously!

Today, we want to shine a light on Kathryn, who has faithfully served with Alpha for the past 4 years as the Assistant to our Business Office Manager.

Kathryn plays such an important behind-the-scenes role, using her accounting background to help keep our operations running smoothly. We are so grateful for the consistency, care, and expertise she brings — and for the way she helps keep our business manager, Paul, sane 😉

When asked what she loves about volunteering at Alpha, Kathryn shared:
“Oh, because it is so easy! I have an accounting background, so I work with numbers all day. I love it! I love getting to use my skills in a non-stressful environment.”

When she’s not volunteering, Kathryn enjoys staying active and curling up with a good book — especially fictional redemption novels.

TODAY is the National March for Life!

Thousands will gather in Washington DC, standing together to affirm the dignity and value of every human life.

The March occurs around the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision on January 22, 1973, which legalized abortion in the country.

For many, the March is a powerful public witness. It reminds our nation that life matters and that compassion, truth, and hope must guide the way forward.

At Alpha, this national moment reflects the work that happens quietly and faithfully every day in our community. While the March raises awareness, your support allows us to respond in real and practical ways — meeting women where they are, providing life-affirming resources, and walking alongside families.
