Last month, students from Worth County R-III High School (Worth County Tiger Talk) visited Mosaic Medical Center - Albany to job-shadow a variety of departments, including nursing, pharmacy and radiology. They all were given a glimpse of what a future career in health care could be like. 🏥🩻
All the students are part of the Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program. This program is designed to recruit, train and retain a diverse health care workforce in rural and underserved areas.
Because these students job-shadowed at the medical center, they are now eligible to apply for a scholarship through Mosaic Foundation - Albany. This scholarship is for students who are interested in pursuing a career in a health care related field, live within the area of Mosaic Medical Center - Albany and our clinics and spend time with us through job shadowing, internships or volunteering.
