Since 1911, people all over the world have celebrated women’s social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments on International Women’s Day (March 8).

Join us in wishing a very happy Woman's Day to the strong, intelligent, talented and simply wonderful women of this world and especially to our Foundation leadership: Kathy Andersen, Dr. Amy Hogan, Jamie Mazuryk, Marisa Multari, Melissa Mantei, and Whitney Malone. And to our incredible Volunteer Coordinator, Barb Palmer!

Here’s to the strong women that help shape our world!

March is National Kidney Month

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is mainly a “silent disease” without any symptoms. According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), chronic kidney disease affects more than 30 million American adults, but most of them may not even be aware that they have CKD. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimate that 96% of the 30 million Americans who have CKD do not know they have it and only about 4.9 million people have been medically diagnosed with CKD.

Help us raise awareness and support for our lock kidney community by making a contribution today! 🫘

Here's an update from Jim & Tony -

“DAY 3!

Maya has been able to:
Eat chocolate, cheese doodles, and doritos. ✔️
Get out of bed with little assistance.✔️
Use the restroom a few times. ✔️
No reaction to anti-rejection meds.✔️

Doctors have told us her kidney is a SUPER KIDNEY. Supplemental liquids have been reduced to let new kidney do it’s thing.

Maya’s beautiful smile and joyous spirit are coming back.

I’m incredibly thankful this holiday season. I will be paying forward this entire experience and help another family navigate this daunting journey.

Forever grateful to the amazing staff here and our selfless donor who saved our little girl’s life.”
