✨🧘‍♀️ Have you ever considered working with an Interspiritual / Integrative Nutrition Health Coach? ✨🧘‍♀️

In my years as a health coach, I've noticed a recurring theme. Conversations with clients often delve into the spiritual aspects of wellness. We inevitably touch on questions like, "What do you believe in? Is there something bigger than yourself that guides you?" 💫💭

It's fascinating. Some clients are deeply connected to their spirituality, while others haven't explored it much. Either way, it's a crucial piece of the wellness puzzle. 🧩

That’s why I love being both an ordained Interfaith/Interspiritual Minister and a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. To truly thrive, we need to nourish our minds, bodies, and spirits. All three must be in harmony—free from Dis-Ease and fully embracing wellness. 🧠❤️️🙏

Being able to address each part is important. And since I believe that "One size does NOT fit all", this also goes for Spiritual beliefs. 👥

So, wherever you want to take your Wellness Journey - I can go with you. Whatever you believe or don't believe or not sure you believe - I'm with you. 🤝

And we can do all of this in small steps. Small increments. "Easy does it" bite-size ways. 👣🌱

Never underestimate the power of small changes. Everywhere in your life. 🚀

HERE COME THE HOLIDAYS! 🎄✨🍪

The holidays are here, and I’ve got a treat that’s equal parts festive and nourishing: Eggnog Energy Oat Bars!

🌟 These are the perfect snack to fuel your holiday hustle without the sugar crash. They’re packed with cozy spices, wholesome ingredients, and just the right amount of sweetness to keep you going.

🎁 Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients:
• 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats
• 1/2 cup almond butter
• 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
• 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
• 1/4 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
• 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
• 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
• 2 tbsp shredded coconut

Instructions:
1️⃣ In a large bowl, mix oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, cranberries, nuts, and flaxseed.
2️⃣ Heat almond butter and maple syrup in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Add vanilla.
3️⃣ Combine the wet and dry ingredients until evenly coated.
4️⃣ Press the mixture into a parchment-lined 8x8-inch dish. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
5️⃣ Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm, then cut into 12 bars. Sprinkle with coconut for a festive touch.
6️⃣ Store in the fridge for up to a week (if they last that long)!

✨ Pro Tip: These bars are a great addition to your holiday snack table or a quick grab-and-go breakfast for those busy mornings.

Let me know if you try this recipe—I’d love to hear what you think or see your photos! 📸🎉

🎄✨ The holiday season is here, and while it’s supposed to be a time of joy, gratitude, and connection, let’s be honest… it often turns into a whirlwind of too much. Too much shopping, too much food, too much stress. We pile our carts, our plates, and our schedules higher and higher, all in the name of having “the best of everything.” But does it really make us happy?

The other day, I overheard someone say, “I only get the best of everything—or else, why bother?” And it hit me how often this mindset takes over, especially during the holidays. But here’s the thing: living in excess doesn’t lead to happiness. It dulls our senses. Over time, the thrill of “more” wears off, and we end up chasing an even bigger high—just like with addictions. Whether it’s food, possessions, or attention, the more we indulge, the more we need to feel satisfied until we’re stuck on a treadmill of “never enough.”

Both Jesus and Buddha warned us about this. Jesus said, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” (Luke 12:15). Buddha reminded us that “Contentment is the greatest wealth.” (Dhammapada Verse 204). Yet here we are, drowning in excess and wondering why we feel so empty after the holidays.

When we focus on having the best, we lose sight of being our best. Excess dulls our compassion and humanity. It turns us inward, protecting what we have for ourselves alone - instead of looking outward and sharing with others.

So here’s my challenge to all of us (myself included): Let’s simplify this season. Let’s choose enough instead of more. Let’s give meaningfully, share generously, and focus on moments, not things.

Because the true magic and beauty of this season isn’t in what we buy or eat—it’s in who we are and how we show up for others. 💖

This year, I’m choosing presence over presents. Who’s with me? 🎁✨

HAPPY WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY, WORTH IT WELLNESS WARRIORS! 💚

This year’s theme is “Mental Health at Work,” and it's a timely reminder that we need to pay attention to how we feel in the workplace. Whether you're working from home, in an office, or out in the field, your mental health is just as important as the tasks you’re getting done.

We spend so much of our time working, and if we're not careful, stress, burnout, and overwhelm can sneak up on us. So let’s take today as an opportunity to reflect on how we can take better care of our minds while we work. Here are some ways to do just that:

1. Mindfulness on the Job: Take a Pause When You Need It:

Our work environment can get hectic, but you don’t need hours to reset your mind. A few minutes of deep breathing, stepping away from your desk, or even closing your eyes for a quick mindfulness break can shift your whole day. This practice doesn’t just reduce stress; it helps you stay present and clear-headed.

Tip: Take 2-5 minutes every couple of hours to breathe deeply or stretch. I promise, it’ll make a difference!

2. Talk About It – We’ve Got to Break the Silence Around Mental Health:

Mental health at work shouldn’t be a taboo topic. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just out of balance, it's okay to talk about it. It doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human. Let’s normalize checking in on each other and asking for help when we need it.

Tip: If you're feeling the pressure, don’t hesitate to reach out to someone you trust—whether it's a colleague, your supervisor, or a professional. Sharing lightens the load.

3. Fuel Your Body, Fuel Your Work:

What we put into our bodies directly impacts our focus, energy, and mood. A healthy, balanced diet will not only help you power through your tasks but also keep your mental health in check. We’re not robots—we need nourishment that supports our well-being, not just our productivity!

Tip: Keep healthy snacks like nuts, fruit, or yogurt nearby to get through your day. And make sure your lunch is something that keeps you full and focused—protein, fiber, healthy fats, all the good stuff.

4. Move Your Body, Move Your Mind:

Sitting all day isn’t just tough on our bodies—it’s tough on our minds too. A little movement can boost your energy, clear your thoughts, and improve your mood. You don’t have to hit the gym; just a walk around the block or some light stretching can do wonders.

Tip: Sneak movement into your day. Take the stairs, walk during phone calls, or get up and stretch between meetings. Small movements lead to big changes!

5. Set Boundaries – Protect Your Time, Protect Your Peace:

The lines between work and personal life are blurrier than ever, especially if you’re working remotely. But just because you can answer emails at 10 p.m. doesn’t mean you should. Setting boundaries is a must if you want to protect your mental health at work. Know when to say 'no,' and don't be afraid to turn off those notifications when you're off the clock.

Tip: Set clear work hours for yourself and stick to them. Let your team know when you're available and when you're not. Boundaries = peace.

6. Sleep is Your Superpower:

I can’t stress enough how important sleep is. If you’re running on fumes, everything feels harder, and the stress piles up. You’re not just tired; you’re drained emotionally and mentally. Good sleep makes a world of difference in how you show up for work and for yourself.

Tip: Aim for those magic 7-8 hours. Create a bedtime routine that allows you to wind down and unplug from the day.

7. Create a Supportive Work Culture:

Whether you're in a leadership role or not, you can contribute to a culture of mental health awareness. We all need to support each other. That means recognizing when someone’s struggling and giving them space to breathe. It means encouraging balance, rest, and mental health days. It means being human.

Tip: Leaders, check in on your team regularly, not just about work, but about how they're really doing. And team members, look out for one another. Together, we create a healthier work environment.

8. Make Time for Your Passions Outside of Work:

We are more than our jobs. Having something to look forward to outside of work is crucial for balance and mental health. Whether it’s a hobby, a creative project, or time spent with loved ones, engaging in non-work activities helps us recharge and refocus.

Tip: Schedule time for the things that bring you joy outside of work. It could be as simple as cooking, journaling, or taking a walk in nature.

9. Nurture Your Spiritual Health, Even at Work:

Spiritual health is often left out of the conversation, but it’s a critical part of maintaining balance—especially in the workplace. Whether you find spiritual nourishment through quiet reflection, meditation, prayer, or just taking a moment to breathe deeply, connecting with your inner self can help you handle the stresses of your workday.
We often think spirituality doesn’t belong at work, but trust me—it’s what keeps you grounded when everything else feels chaotic. It gives you that inner strength and sense of purpose, even on the toughest days.

Tip: Start or end your workday with a moment of gratitude or reflection. Ask yourself what really matters and keep that front and center as you navigate your workday.

Take care of yourself, warriors. You are WORTH IT! 💚

As we welcome the fall season, it’s a perfect time to nurture our well-being and align with the changes around us. In this first issue of Rev Margs’ Soul Fueled Wellness Wisdom, I’m thrilled to share some tips to help you embrace the season with balance and positivity:

✨ 1. Reflect and Reset
Autumn is a season of transition. Reflect on the past months and set intentions for the future. Journaling is a powerful way to clarify your thoughts and goals. Ask yourself: What have I learned? What do I want to focus on moving forward? 📝

🥗 2. Nourish with Seasonal Foods
Incorporate fall’s delicious produce like squash, apples, and leafy greens. They’re packed with nutrients and connect you with the energy of the season. 🍏🥬

🧘 3. Revitalize Your Routine
Adjust your wellness routine to align with shorter days. Cozy evening walks and relaxation practices can help you stay grounded. Create a comforting space at home for unwinding and self-care. 🌙

🌿 Letting Go of the Past for a Healthier Future 🌿

Letting go of the past isn't just about releasing old memories; it's about creating space for a healthier, more vibrant future. When we hold onto past hurts, traumas, or regrets, they can weigh us down like a heavy anchor, keeping us stuck. 🌸

🧠 Mind and Body Benefits 🧠
Releasing past hurts and regrets is transformative, not just for our spirit but for our body and mind too. Letting go can reduce stress, lower anxiety, and boost mental clarity. Physically, it can help lower blood pressure, improve sleep, and elevate our overall sense of well-being. It’s a holistic act of self-care that benefits every part of who we are. 🧘‍♀️✨

✨ The Role of Spirituality ✨
Spirituality plays a key role in this healing process. It guides us to find peace and acceptance, helping us release what no longer serves us. Whether through meditation, prayer, or simply sitting in stillness, we can reconnect with our inner selves and open up to healing and growth. 🌱

💫 The Link to Addiction Recovery 💫
There’s a powerful connection between letting go and addiction recovery. Many who struggle with addiction hold onto deep pain and past trauma. Letting go becomes a vital step toward breaking free from these chains. It’s about reclaiming our power, embracing self-love, and stepping boldly into a new chapter of life. 🌻

Start today. Release what no longer serves you. Trust that a brighter, healthier future is yours for the taking. 💖

🌟 Embrace Intuitive Eating! 🌟

Intuitive eating is a transformative approach to nutrition that focuses on listening to and trusting your body's innate wisdom. It's about breaking free from diet culture and rediscovering a harmonious relationship with food.

Here are practical ways to embark on this journey:

1. 🚫 Reject the Diet Mentality: Let go of the idea that external diet plans are the answer to your health and well-being. It means no more calorie counting, rigid meal plans, or viewing certain foods as inherently 'good' or 'bad.'

2. 🍽️ Honor Your Hunger: Learn to recognize and respect your body's hunger signals. Eating should respond to physical hunger, not emotional stress or boredom. Start by eating slowly and mindfully, tuning into how your body feels.

3. 🤝 Make Peace with Food: Give yourself unconditional permission to eat. When you stop viewing foods as 'forbidden,' the intense feelings of deprivation and subsequent uncontrollable cravings will diminish.

4. 🛑 Challenge the Food Police: Silence the internal voice that dictates your food choices based on arbitrary rules. It might involve unlearning societal norms about dieting and body image.

5. 🙏 Respect Your Fullness: Just as eating when you're hungry is important, it's equally crucial to stop eating when you feel comfortably full. Pay attention to your body's signals to tell you it has had enough.

6. 🍲 Discover the Satisfaction Factor: Find pleasure and satisfaction in eating. When you eat what you want in an inviting and conducive environment, the experience of eating becomes more satisfying.

7. 🌸 Honor Your Feelings Without Using Food: Identify the emotional responses that trigger the urge to eat. Find ways to cope with stress, anxiety, boredom, or sadness without using food as the only coping mechanism.

8. ❤️ Respect Your Body: Accept your body, understanding that everyone has a unique genetic blueprint. An unrealistic body ideal can hinder your intuitive eating journey.

9. 🏃‍♀️ Exercise - Feel the Difference: Shift your focus from exercising to lose weight to exercising for the joy of feeling strong and energized. Find activities that you enjoy and make you feel good.

10. 🍎 Honor Your Health - Gentle Nutrition: Make food choices that honor your health and taste buds while making you feel well. Remember, you don't have to eat a perfect diet to be healthy. Consistent, moderate changes have a significant impact.

Intuitive eating is a personal and dynamic process, not a one-size-fits-all solution. It's about trusting your inner wisdom to make choices that feel good in your body without judgment or guilt. This approach encourages a healthier, more balanced lifestyle, free from the restrictions of traditional dieting.

🌟 Transform Your Life with New Hobbies! 🌟

Exploring new hobbies can be a transformative experience, offering mental stimulation and a much-needed break from the routine. Engaging in diverse activities enriches your life and promotes well-being by keeping your mind active and your spirit invigorated.

It provides a variety of mental and emotional benefits:

1. 🧠 Mental Stimulation: Learning a new skill or diving into a different activity uniquely challenges your brain. This keeps your mind sharp and improves cognitive functions like memory, problem-solving, and creativity.

2. 😌 Stress Relief: Hobbies are a great way to unwind and detach from daily stresses. Whether painting, gardening, or playing a musical instrument, these activities allow you to enter a state of flow where worries fade and time flies.

3. 🌱 Personal Growth: Each new hobby is a journey of discovery. It can boost your confidence as you acquire new skills and achieve milestones. This sense of accomplishment enhances your self-esteem and resilience.

4. 👥 Social Connections: Many hobbies offer opportunities to meet like-minded individuals. Joining a club, taking a class, or participating in group activities can lead to new friendships and a supportive community.

Choosing the right hobby can seem daunting, but it’s all about exploring what interests you. Start with something that piques your curiosity or aligns with your passions.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:
• 🎨 Creative Arts: Drawing, painting, crafting, or photography can unleash your inner artist and provide a wonderful outlet for self-expression.
• 🏃‍♀️ Physical Activities: Yoga, dancing, hiking, or joining a sports team can keep you fit while offering an enjoyable way to stay active.
• 🧩 Intellectual Pursuits: Learning a new language, playing chess, or tackling puzzles can give your brain a great workout.
• 🌿 Gardening: Connecting with nature through gardening can be incredibly soothing and rewarding as you watch your plants grow.

Don’t let the fear of being a beginner hold you back. Every expert was once a novice. Embrace the learning process, and allow yourself the freedom to make mistakes and grow.
