We had an amazing day on Main Street at St. Peter’s Hospital last Thursday promoting Colorectal Cancer Awareness!

A heartfelt thank‑you to Dr. Tritt, Amy Connors, and the Capital District Colon and Re**al Surgery team, as well as the Colorectal Cancer Alliance for partnering with us. Your dedication, expertise, and commitment to community health made this outreach event a true success.

We’re grateful for everyone who stopped by, asked questions, played our games and joined the conversation about early detection and prevention.

Together, we’re making a meaningful impact. 💙

What are some of your favorite 80s movies that we can use to boost awareness this month?

What do a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal all have in common?

They did not want to be defined by labels. Underneath the stereotypes, they discovered a genuine human connection — one that let them see each other as real people and even build unlikely friendships.

And now? Let’s be honest…
They’ve all reached the age where they need colonoscopies. 😮😎😉

So take a lesson from this iconic group: don’t let labels (or procrastination!) define you. Take care of yourself. Get screened!!!

If you or someone you know is between the ages of 40-64 and in need of screening the Cancer Services Program of the Greater Capital Region may be able to help. Call us TODAY at (518) 525-8680 or visit our website www. greatercapitalregioncsp.com

We've all seen that meme. 😎

Today our Community Outreach Coordinator, Laisa, is bravely offering up this throwback of herself to remind everyone that screening and early detection matter.

💙 If this classic hair moment brings back memories, it may also be time to schedule your colonoscopy. 💙

🌸 Happy International Women’s Day! 🌸

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women everywhere. It’s also a powerful reminder to prioritize your health.

Regular cancer screenings save lives. Early detection means more treatment options, better outcomes, and more healthy years doing what you love.

✨ This year, make yourself a priority✨

✔ Schedule your routine screenings
✔ Talk with your doctor about what tests you may need
✔ Encourage a woman you care about to do the same

Let’s uplift each other—not just today, but every day—by taking steps that protect our health and our future.
