I cried after my work shift last night.
Not because I was overwhelmed.
Not because I was exhausted.
But because of what I witnessed.
For years, I’ve poured my heart into helping people with frozen shoulders, arthritic knees that won’t bend, plantar fasciitis that makes every step miserable, carpal tunnel that keeps them up at night, stubborn hip pain, and chronic back pain.
And while chiropractic care changes lives (and always will), there were certain cases where I knew… we had reached the limit of what adjustments alone could do.
Those were the hard conversations.
The referrals for cortisone shots.
The “let’s see what the orthopedic says.”
The “surgery might be the next step.”
And after my work shift yesterday… I looked around my office and realized something.
We’re not going to be having those conversations the way we used to because now, we have shockwave therapy right here in our office.
And the results we are seeing are bringing me to tears.
Watching someone lift their arm higher than they have in months (or years!).

Healing Hands Chiropractic Center is growing, and we’re looking for the right person to join our team!
This is a part-time position with an incredible schedule — we are closed from Thursday afternoon through Monday morning, giving you a 3½-day weekend every single week.
Office Hours:
• Monday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Tuesday: 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Thursday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Pay: $18 per hour
Primary Role:
Your main responsibility will be running our shockwave therapy machine on patients. This is a hands-on role where you’ll directly help people reduce pain and improve mobility.
No experience is required — we will fully train the right person.
You will also be cross-trained to assist at the front desk as needed, including scheduling, answering phones, and helping with patient flow.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
• Genuinely wants to help people feel better
• Is dependable and shows up on time — every time
• Brings positive energy and a friendly smile
• Is comfortable working one-on-one with patients
• Is coachable and willing to learn
• Can multitask when needed
Experience with general anatomy, fitness, athletic training, or working out is a plus — but not required.

We are a family practice located in Guilderland, NY which means that we see newborns, toddlers, teenagers, adults, and elderly but our specialty is to work with expecting mothers. Dr. Jessica Kinkaid has a passion for working with pregnant women.
There are 3 main reasons why pregnant women get adjusted.
Pain. The baby grows very rapidly which stretches the moms abdomen and adds pressure to the lower back which can cause lower back pain, sciatica, numbness, round ligament/ groin pain or p***c bone pain. Chiropractic care can help with that!
Breech Baby. Many OBGYN’s and Midwives refer to our office when the baby is breech. Most providers won’t deliver a breech baby and therefore the mother would often need a C-Section if the baby doesn’t turn. While at our office, Webster Technique is performed which is a safe, gentle technique that aligns the pelvic bones and helps to equalize the tension on the muscles and ligaments which support the baby. After the adjustment, both mom and baby have more room. The baby often uses the room created to go from breech to vertex on their own. Mom’s often report decreased pain, increased comfort and increased ability to breathe (since there is more room around mom’s rib area!)
Ideal Birth. Each mother has a different idea of what their ideal birth looks like and quite frankly, the babies plan might be very different. Some moms want a home birth, water birth and/or natural birth without pain medication while others know ahead of time that they want to deliver in a hospital setting and receive the pain medication right away. Whatever your goals are, Chiropractic care can help you become more comfortable throughout your pregnancy in hopes of making your birthing plan a reality.
