We may only have one Love's Travel Stops in our area, but they make a BIG difference for our children’s hospital! In 2022, the Love’s location in Canaan raised nearly $15,000 for our kiddos. Thank you to the team for their incredible partnership and for all that donated throughout the year.

When you visit your local Speedway between March 16 - 19 and donate during checkout, every dollar will support the kids treated at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital.

Speedway's annual fundraising campaign to benefit our children’s hospital is underway! The convenience store employees helped kick off the campaign today. Speedway customers can drop donations at the register or give through the pay pad throughout the year. Since 2016, Speedway has raised nearly $1 million for the children’s hospital. Meet Emma, our 2023 Miracle Child Champion!

Emma Pajak, 4, of Greenville, NY, was just 6 weeks old when her parents, Jess and Stan, discovered blood in her diaper. After several weeks of tests, Emma was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in her bladder, at just 8 weeks old. She was cared for by physician Dr. Jennifer Pearce, and nurse Holly Fortin, at the Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Albany Medical Center. The Pajak family had countless visits to the children’s hospital within Emma’s first year of life, receiving chemotherapy, transfusions, IVIG, tumor removal, and surgery. In July of this year, Emma will hit a huge milestone of 5 years with no evidence of disease.

Thank you for supporting kids like Emma. We can’t wait to see the miracles we make together in 2023!

A special thank you to The Albany Chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) for coordinating their annual Sickle Cell Walk to support the Melodies Center. Over $5,000 was raised to support our sickle cell program - thank you!

Ace Hardware has been working hard this holiday season to support local kids! A special thank you to the team at Robinson Ace Hardware & Garden Center in Slingerlands for hosting their 3rd annual Ladies Night event to support our children’s hospital. What a fun night!

Miracle child Dylan recently stopped by several Capital Region Speedway stores to thank employees for their generous fundraising efforts to support the children’s hospital. Dylan’s surprise visit made their days!
