Yoga is SOOOO good for recharging the body. Moving into the poses, and stretching the muscles that have been aching can feel like such a good release!

We can also recharge the body with yoga by purposefully using blocks, blankets, bolsters, or straps to support the body more in different postures! What prop do you find your body wanting more support from?

In honor of month, Mindfully Balanced Therapy, PLLC & Rise Yoga Albemarle are partnering to talk about self-care for the mind, body, & soul; both on the yoga mat and in your everyday life!

Do you know what the difference is between a relaxing activity vs a recharging activity? Do you notice how sometimes kicking back and watching TV helps you unwind, and other times leaves you feeling the exact same as when you sat down?

Join us in May as we explore the differences more, and share ideas for what recharging activities can look like in yoga and also when you're off the mat!

Kimberleigh is a holistic mental health therapist with Mindfully Balanced Therapy, and a yoga teacher at Rise Yoga. In therapy, she works with overthinkers and perfectionists to get unstuck from their thinking brains. At the yoga studio, she teaches biweekly gentle flow and slow vinyasa classes to support the mind-body connection.
