At The Taylor House Assisted Living Community, we enjoy our trips, but we also enjoy surprises! This month was no different.๐๐๐
We decided to go on our โMystery Trip.โ ๐ค๐คซ Thanks to our sister facility, Taylor Glen, we heard about this little gem of a restaurant out in Cornelius, NC called โHello Sailor!โ
To say we were pleased is way understating our experience. Letโs just say that we may have over indulged a tad.
First thing first, the views from the patio are spectacular looking over the glassy blue waters of Lake Norman.
As we took in the splendor of the ambience, we began the culinary journey with some homemade hush-puppies and whipped spice butter, and fresh tortilla chips and queso.๐๐๐
Immediately, we knew this was no hole-in- the-wall pizza joint. We then cruised into our entrรฉes. Some had the magnificent double cheese burgers with all the toppings! Others inhaled the blacked shrimp tacos! I cannot confirm nor deny, but, I heard rumor of the Assistant Administrator and the Activities Assistant going halves on the tacos and BBQ Pork Ribs which were way beyond expectations. All entrรฉes came with the freshest of home-cut French Fries and your choice of dipping sauce.
If that wasnโt enough, some of the crew went in for some homemade Icecream and others yet took a deep dive into the Key-lime cheesecake with blackberry drizzle, chocolate ganache crust and a dollop of homemade whipped cream! ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฆ๐โ๐ฉ
The service from our waitress, Jackie, was way more than attentive and timely. Our tea glass remained full and plates were cleared promptly for the following course! Yup, we thought we were royalty. ๐
So, if youโre ever wanting to go somewhere for a great experience, just drop anchor at Hello Sailor of Cornelius, NC. You can thank us later! And keep us in mind if you have any ideasโฆ we are always looking for new ways to
