Residents have been enjoying the beautiful weather this week. On Monday our Corporate Executive Chef Eric Nooe visited and made a variety of pies. Residents enjoyed apple, cherry and peach pies à la mode on the Taylor House front porch.

Good news: our residents have been able to return to Taylor House from their temporary stays at our sister campuses.

They had to temporarily move out last month because of an issue with heating. But the new boiler has been installed and residents began returning Wednesday. We want to say a huge thank you to all the team members who worked hard to move them, and to all the families who were patient and understanding with us in this process.

Residents returned to find most of the renovations complete too -- a lovely and much-needed facelift to the 100-year-old building!

Taylor House has been undergoing renovations, and we are excited about the results. Public areas have been given a facelift, a much needed update for a building that started out as the Yadkin Hospital in 1926. The elevator has been replaced and other updates made to the structure as well.

A huge thank you to the interior designer, CIC Interiors, for giving it such a beautiful update. Thank you also to SFCS Architects and Blum Construction.

Residents who are temporarily living at ThriveMore's campus there, Ardenwoods, spent part of Friday making heart paper chains.

We recently celebrated Tom Didio’s birthday. Wish him a happy birthday in the comments!

Because of a heating issue, residents last week had to move to other campuses temporarily. But that won’t stop us from continuing to celebrate our people. The Taylor Glen team helped us celebrate Tom while he’s staying there.

The team has worked hard this week to ensure the safety and comfort of our Taylor House residents. Because of a heating issue, residents were relocated temporarily this week.

Thank you all for your understanding, kind words of support and prayers as all the residents have transitioned this week to other locations.

The rest of our residents are relocating today to Ardenwoods in Arden and Spring Arbor of Albemarle.

We are so thankful for the support and understanding of the residents and their families as we have had to temporarily move them because of a heating issue.

And a huge thank-you to the hard-working team who are ensuring the comfort and safety of residents during this time.

Residents began relocating to our sister campuses Brookridge Life Plan Community and Taylor Glen Life Plan Community earlier today.

Buses picked them up from Taylor Glen and transported them to their new campuses where they were welcomed by local teams. Pictured, ThriveMore President and CEO Reed VanderSlik and Brookridge Executive Director Tatum Myers helped residents off the bus.

The plan is for the rest of the residents to move to their new temporary homes tomorrow.
