Our ThriveMore Board of Trustees meets quarterly to help guide the organization. Last week, they met in Albemarle in order to spend time at Taylor House.

The board got to tour the recent renovations, including the new elevator and stairwell as well as a facelift on the second and third floor common spaces.

We're thankful for our board members who ensure we stay on track in our mission to create communities where our residents and team members to thrive!

Today, our outing included a visit to S&I Softserve for ice cream, followed by a stop to interact with affectionate baby goats.

Today we attended the Abide lunch at New London United Methodist Church and thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful lunch and a fun-filled game of bingo.

Today, we visited Cracker Barrel for lunch, followed by a tour of Downtown Concord.

We participated in National Garden Day celebrations by planting flowers today.

We're excited to welcome Amanda Barbee as Taylor House's new Activity Director.

She's joining us by way of Taylor Glen, where she worked for seven years. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite flower is a daisy.

Amanda's favorite quote is: "Spread love wherever you go," and she certainly does that herself as she brings enrichment and fosters community among our residents in Albemarle.

Residents have been enjoying the beautiful weather this week. On Monday our Corporate Executive Chef Eric Nooe visited and made a variety of pies. Residents enjoyed apple, cherry and peach pies à la mode on the Taylor House front porch.

Today we're thankful for our talented and dedicated team members who make Taylor House a place to thrive!

Good news: our residents have been able to return to Taylor House from their temporary stays at our sister campuses.

They had to temporarily move out last month because of an issue with heating. But the new boiler has been installed and residents began returning Wednesday. We want to say a huge thank you to all the team members who worked hard to move them, and to all the families who were patient and understanding with us in this process.

Residents returned to find most of the renovations complete too -- a lovely and much-needed facelift to the 100-year-old building!
