Snuggled up and ready for the season!

😻 Our little therapy cat in training, Nugget, is spreading holiday cheer in her new Christmas sweater. 🎄

This time of year is all about hope, warmth, and connection. May your days be filled with as much comfort and joy as Nugget brings to our office. We are so thankful for the light this season brings and for all the little moments of happiness, whether it's a cozy sweater or a purrfect friend. Wishing everyone a Christmas filled with peace and love!

Operation Homefront Hopes: Sending Well Wishes to Our Deployed Troops

On behalf of the entire Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions team, we are initiating Operation Homefront Hopes, a dedicated effort to send our deepest gratitude, thoughts, prayers, and well wishes to the brave men and women of our military currently deployed in the Middle East.

Their commitment and sacrifice ensure our safety and freedom, and it is our privilege to show them that their service is recognized and deeply appreciated back home. We want to flood them with messages of encouragement and support as they face time away from their families and the challenges of deployment.

This project is very near and dear to our Executive Director’s heart as her youngest son, is currently deployed in the Middle East.

How You Can Participate
We are collecting messages—whether they are simple notes of thanks, heartfelt prayers, or general expressions of support and encouragement.

Write a Message: Messages should be brief, uplifting, and non-political.
Guideline: Focus on general support, gratitude, and well wishes for their safe return.
Example: “Thank you for your sacrifice. We are thinking of you and praying for your safety. Wishing you strength and a speedy return home!”

Submission:
You can submit your message via:
Email: Email our Executive Clinical Director at LAURAH@MYCCLS.COM with your note in the body of the email. We will then print your message and add it to our next outgoing care package.

Snacks and goodies are also exciting for our service members to recieve, however, we are not able to ship anything liquid nor with batteries.

Drop-off Point: “The box labeled ‘Homefront Hopes’ in the main office waiting room”. Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions 2620 W Main St Albemarle, NC 28001

Compilation and Delivery: All messages will be compiled into a package and sent directly to our service members in the region.

Every single word of encouragement makes a difference. Let’s show our deployed troops that they are never far from our thoughts.

Please welcome Odie Odedere, our newest Clinical Intern!

Odie is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University.

Odie brings over 10 years of leadership experience in human services, having developed strong skills in residential care management, interpersonal communication, and correctional counseling. His experience as a Correctional Housing Unit Manager at Southern Correctional Institution provided him with valuable insight into mental health services, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, his military service with the North Carolina Army National Guard has further refined his leadership, teamwork, and crisis management abilities.

Odie was particularly drawn to Creative Counseling and Learning Solution PLLC due to its commitment to providing exceptional counseling services to the community. He sees this internship as a valuable opportunity to expand his practical experience in clinical mental health counseling while contributing meaningfully to our team.
