✨ Introducing: EMBRACE YOUR IMAGE Therapy Group! ✨

Creative Counseling & Learning Solutions is excited to announce a new 7-week virtual program dedicated to helping teen girls (ages 12-16) develop a healthy body image and cultivate self-acceptance.

In today's world, navigating self-image can be tough. This supportive, therapeutic group offers a safe space to explore challenges and build lasting confidence.

What We Will Explore:

Self-Compassion
Media Influences
Positive Self-Talk
Body Gratitude
Navigating Comparisons
Mindful Movement
And More!

Program Details:

📅 When: March 10 – April 21 (7 Weeks)
⏰ Time: Tuesdays, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Virtual)
👧 Ages: Teen Girls 12-16

Today, as the world celebrates love, we want to take a moment to discuss what truly makes love flourish: healthy love. ❤️

Love, in all its forms—romantic, platonic, familial, and self-love—is a cornerstone of a joyful and fulfilling life. But the quality of that love is what truly matters.

Important Announcement!

Due to inclement weather, all Creative Counseling and Learning Solutions' offices in Albemarle and Concord will be closed on Monday, January 26th.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our staff and clients.

Virtual appointments may still be an option if both provider and client have power and internet in their homes. For current clients, please reach out to your therapist via your secure messaging option via our Simple Practice client portal for more information.

While our horse fence was getting a much needed upgrade, our therapy horses were guests at Sunny Oaks Farm for the few weeks that it took for the old fence to be taken down and the new fence to be put up. We were so happy to have Sage and Saffron return to Creative Counseling & Learning Solutions; PLLC and as you can see in this video, they’re happy to be home. Hello friends! As many of you know, in some of my work as a counselor, I provide services to children and teens that are currently in a hospital due to trauma(s) they have experienced. Unfortunately, many of these kids wait in the hospital for numerous months awaiting placement options. As you can imagine, being in a hospital room (most of which are in emergency room/short term stay types of rooms), for this length of time causes an extreme decline in their emotional health. Therefore, I think it is extremely important to do all I can to keep them as comfortable and occupied in engaging activities while they are there. The following is a list of items that the kids have told me they need and/or that they would appreciate. If any of you could help me acquire these items, I would appreciate it sooooo much! Seeing the kids smile, hearing that they feel cared for, and knowing that their hospital stays are more tolerable with their wishes filled, helps make a bigger difference in their lives.

Acknowledge: What’s one habit or mindset holding you back?
Commit: What’s one small, positive change you can implement today?

Snuggled up and ready for the season!

😻 Our little therapy cat in training, Nugget, is spreading holiday cheer in her new Christmas sweater. 🎄

This time of year is all about hope, warmth, and connection. May your days be filled with as much comfort and joy as Nugget brings to our office.
